With both Ryan and Indi out,if Hughes picks Johnson,he needs a blunt rusty trombone shoved up his arse, wide end first.

Can't really see him leaving Jese out, so it'll probably be: I'd play a flat back four and have Johnson at right back and play Diouf centre-forward and rest Jese. I'd throw in Afellay to help with possession and to keep it all ticking over, but none of this will happen. It's quite frightening how light we are in midfield given that if it's not Afellay it's Adam

i think with a full squad 3 points would be there for the taking, however with all the injuries we have we are going to have to battle for everything tommorow we need our attacking players to help out the defense by not giving the ball away. one thing for sure is that soton will know all about our woes and will try to hit us early we must stay resoloute and if we can get to 30 mins without conceding i feel we will then be favourites to win the game.

If we go down the 4-at-the-back route, I'd go with Edwards over Johnson. The Johnson train has finally derailed. But we won't. It'll doubtless be 3-4-3. If Cameron's fit, there's no need to involve Johnson. If Cameron is unfit, and he's desperate to go with 3-at-the-back, there may be no alternative because he won't chuck Souttar in. They seem quite hopeful with Cameron though.

Spinksy seems to be contemplating Jese being left out, and raises the possibility of a start for Berahino. Seems the obvious move, but I'd still be a bit surprised.

Unfortunately I think it will be 0-2, Gabbiadini and Redmond to score, its written in the stars, also I got the Chelsea score and scorers bang on. Sorry.

Cameron will make it, by the sound of it, to make up a back three with Kurt and Erik, so Johnson can return to the bench (praise the Lord). Only issues then are Ramadan or Tymon for left wing back and Jese or Berahino up front.

He seems to be coming on regularly as a sub when we need a goal. So we might as well play him from the start. It's becoming pretty obvious that Crouch is still the best striker we have on the books. I wouldn't say the best, just the only one the manager knows how to use. Amounts to the same thing, dunnit?

Can't see any other scoreline than 1-1, it's got that score written all over it! Anyone else think any different!? 2 equal teams, both aiming for the same spot, and pretty much at the end of the season will be one right behind the other in the table. Hopefully I'm wrong and we get the 3 points we need, but 99% sure it'll finish 1-1.

I would be tempted to go with a 4-3-1-2
Butland
Diouf Zouma Wimmer Pieters
Fletch GCam Allen
Shaq
Jese Choupo
I would revert to a back 4 and pack the midfield with GCam as teams have been running through us recently. Ive also gone for 2 up front with Shaq in behind to provide the ammunition.

Last season fans were slating Hughes for tampering with the system all the time. This season he has so far stuck with a back three! Well done! Yet we are getting now fans suggesting a back four. I have no problems with a Zouma, Cameron, Pieters back three and neither will Hughes. I was impressed by Diouf last week after saying he wasn't and shouldn't be wing back. Most definitely Tymon should be playing left wing back. He is by far the best option! I have every faith that we can achieve a good result tomorrow.

With the players available last week against one of the best teams in Europe, there's no way he should have played that system.

With both Ryan and Indi out,if Hughes picks Johnson,he needs a blunt rusty trombone shoved up his arse, wide end first. Trombones do not rust, they are mainly made from brass and usually lacquered too. They may tarnish if un-lacquered. Also modern instruments have an eight and a half inch bell(circa) so would be impossible to do what you suggest.
