Ramadan really?! I thought he was awful today He shouldn't have been played on the left, he's right footed, if we had someone there that had a left foot they would have been able to put the ball in quicker as there was a few times it was played early too him but naturally onto his left, it was a poor decision to play him there. He's an Arnautovic wannabe. Also, Hughes loves inverted wingers, which is why he bought him.

It's a bit Groundhog Day with Ryan. Do you really think Edwards will come in, Grapey? If the alternative is: Zouma-Cameron-Pieters Diouf-Fletcher-Allen-Ramadan I think he probably should. Not ideal, but he's got to be better than Johnson if we're going with a back 4. He seems very wedded to this 3-4-3 though, so no doubt he'll muddle through with it. I think that's the way to go. Cameron was playing well before the injury, Pieters did ok at CB and Ramadan looked like he has potential as a wing back. Having chosen a formation I'd rather see us stick with it and have the squad get used to it to help player rotation.

Butland Johnson Zouma Souttar Pieters Allen Fletch Ramadan Shaq Choupo Diouf
We really shouldn't be going 3 at the back if we've still only got one senior CB.

I'm quite happy with Pieters at left centre back if others are still injured.
I'd like to see:
Butland Zouma Wimmer Pieters Diouf Allen Fletcher Tymon Shaqiri Sobhi Choupo
Jese could do with a rest for me, and this game as a distinctly winnable home game seems like a good chance to blood Tymon fully - he played a handful of Prem games for Hull last year so shouldn't be overawed.

I would say go with a 4-2-3-1 if all those doubtful don't make it. I've left Jese out because I would let him go home to his missus and their boy.
Butland Diouf Zouma Pieters Tymon Fletcher Allen Shaq Afellay Sobhi Choupo
If GCam and Wimmer make it, I would go with a 4-3-3 and pack the midfield - Fletch and Allen have looked overwhelmed as a 2 in the last 3 games.
Butland Diouf Zouma Wimmer Pieters Allen GCam Fletcher Shaq Choupo Sobhi

Butland Zouma Cameron Pieters Diouf Fletcher Allen crouchy Choupo jese. Berahino So'ton will definitely be confused if we play Crouch as our left wingback. This could be the innovation of the century, if it works, but of course it won't.

Fingers crossed Jese can pull his finger out and together with an inform Shaq it could be an entertaining game.

His job back before the 3rd goal was comical. Well we saw it differently. The fact he was knackered after 60 mins tells me he was doing his job - wing back is up there with box to box midfielder as the most physically demanding role. He was by no means perfect and he needs to both up his stamina and learn how to preserve his energy through the 90 mins but I thought there was enough there to give him another go. And to pull him up for Johnson's glaring error is hardly fair - there's no way he could have anticipated that and given where he should have been - in front of the centre back - he was never going to get back. Had we been playing a flat back 3 you may have had a point - but we weren't.

At least in 3-4-3 system he has the back-up of Zouma. But if Kurt plays as an old-fashioned centrehalf, Diouf is on his own on the right and this spells trouble.

Lots of people have said Ramadan was shit on Saturday.
What exactly did he do wrong?
Him and Moses cancelled each other out which to me is a good days work for the left wing back. Moses has been different class for them but he did naff all bar be a cunt on Saturday and credit has to go to Ramadan for that.

Frustrating, can see why he requires easing in. ;-) He was far too indecisive and fucked about instead of exploiting the space he was gifted down the left. Dogshit actually in your usual player rating scale. He's gotta be 18 months off surely. If Hughes keeps persisting it'll knacker his perspective re youth.
