Totally agree, we are like a League 1 side far too often.
I actually after Arsenal (though we only had like 1 shot & 30% possession) thought I was wrong & the board & Hughes had a grand plan. But it's stupid & I feel we do need to go back down, get rid of all these fancy named players & start again.

You want your team to be relegated so we can go back to playing one-dimension Pulisball with a bunch of journeymen? Really?
Suggest you give up and go and watch a non-league team instead if that's what you want.

With the January window coming up, would you consider loaning him out? He couldn't even come close against bury last night.

I'd consider giving him as an Xmas present to some well-deserving Championship or League One side . . . someone who would appreciate his proven ability to "make runs". Perhaps he should switch tor cross-country before it's too late?

To be honest it’s seems that strikers who can perform season in season out at this level are few and far between.
I’m trying to think of strikers outside the top 6 clubs who come close to say even getting 15 a season more than once or twice. Maybe Hernández and Defoe, but they are so small and offer so little in terms of playing outside the penalty area (in recent years) that their clubs have suffered because of rather than been helped by their presence.
I think it says it all when most clubs are looking a little enviously at Murray of Brighton at the moment. I seem to remember their being a ridiculous good number of strikers in the 90s and 00s. Whether the league has got better defences now or everyone is playing either 5 at the back or 2 defensive midfielders (or both!) I don’t know. But even if we pulled a West Ham style spending spree and bought a striker from a mid table rival I’m not sure who would be met with ‘Thank god we signed him’ rather than ‘I guess he’s better than Berahino’

If Berahino goes, so should Hughes. What would it take for you to go?

If Berahino goes, so should Hughes. What would it take for you to go? It's true isn't it though. It'd be another big money failure. Another striker failure. Another player chased for years and then he hasn't got a clue what to do with him. Loaning Berahino should be the final nail in Hughes' coffin.

Berahino is not suited to the lone striker role - just like non of the others our manager has played up front.
We won't really know if he's worth keeping until we see him play alongside a partner, but our clueless leader seems reluctant to do that.
He'd rather just keep plugging away with a system that's the equivalent of trying to eat with one tooth.
Or he plays with no strikers and we look completely toothless.
And yes I know we scored 3 in our last 2 games. But one was a bit of class from Shaq and the other two from corners. Nowt to do with how we lined up.

Then take Queensway/A500 to Porthill Rd/A5271 at Newcastle-under-Lyme. Then take the exit for A5271 from Queensway/A500. Continue on A5271. Finally take Newcastle St/B5051 to Hamil Rd. In summary, fuck off up the Vale.

Seems some on here can not accept the truth, Berahino has been here for over 10 months and it that time he has sored no goals with one assist !, whichever way you slice it spin it excuse it those facts speak for themselves. The excuses are getting weaker and weaker with every game that passes, apparently his redeeming feature is he makes good runs ! really is that a fact how come none of his teammates ever see them

Has to go out on loan and get lots of game time. We need to see if there is a player in there before we move him on, we have not got time to be patient with him ourselves, we can't afford any passengers in the team at present.
Championship team who are prepared to give him a good run out no matter what maybe a Burton or Barnsley or somewhere where there is not much competition, maybe even the Scottish Prem

Berahino isn't playing as a lone striker.
1) he's on the bench 2) were playing with 3 forwards. They should be in and around him, and when they do, we look good. See parts of Saints/Arsenal games when Shaq/Jese and Choupo got around him.
It's an easy cliche to fall back on but the fact is that no striker in the world is a lone striker. They all need people to be around them helping create. We didn't do that last year, and the team looked shite. We're doing it more this year, and both Berahino and the team as a whole have looked far far better.
Call him shite after he's had a proper run of games. Or even after he's had a bad game. Bar Everton away he's been good in a few and average in a couple of cameo appearances. He's had 2 starts this season, I don't see how so many people can magically decide he's shit from that, including 2 or 3 good showings and obvious improvement, besides it being flavour of the month to say so.
