0-1 with Joselu scoring the winner. This is Stoke City for gods sake, it's nailed on.

If we can keep a clean sheet upto half time I strangely believe that we can win.

I think this match is very much a case of who wants it most; as a lot of matches are.
Newcastle must feel they are on a winning streak, despite who they have beaten, and will have a big crowd behind them, which could influence the refereeing. There is a buzz in the city, Rafa is back after illness, Joselu will be busting a gut to score, probably more so than he ever did for us.
Stoke have avoided defeat since the opening match, which was very even and only separated by a bit of Rooney class, but drawing can become a habit, and a mental attitude of settling for a point and trying to avoid getting beaten is easy to slip into.
Both teams have done well in preventing goals, so 0-0 or 1-1 seems a likely outcome. As I walked away from last week's match, with a relative who is a ManU fan, he said both teams might have accepted a point before the match, given who they were up against; he clearly respected going to the bet365 is a tough outing. We may be in a similar situation today.
The one thing I peg my hopes on today is despite the risks of defences dominating, a homer ref., and a rejuvenated Magpies, we have the better class of players. What we need is the desire and will to overcome any setbacks and push hard for the victory we are well capable of.

We have better players than them all over.
The question is will we be prepared, ready, and have the right approach? The 3 points are there for us. It's in our own hands

This match is the best indication of where we are compared with last season. We are always up for Man U and Arsenal, WBA has become a cliche and Everton first game we had half the team and set up we have now. This is the first game of the opening fixtures that benchmarks us against our mini league.

2 wins in 14 away 3 in last 15 in total , we haven't become world beaters over night , and Cameron and shawcross big Misses a draw would be a decent result today .

This is the real test now - very happy with the last 3 tough games but these are the ones where a good away performance can be the difference between top and bottom half this season.
And the Toon will be thinking similar - high expextations so could be a good time to play them.... it's all up for grabs but will be a tough game.

We need to win this one. Stop their run, and keep our own going! Newcastle will be well up for this one, due to Benitez being back. We need to show no sympathy. Just get it done Stoke. No messing!

Good luck for Stoke, tough and Important game winning such games much more important in the table than 1 point from Man U or 1 point from Chelsea

Martin Keown Former Arsenal defender on Final Score It revolves around Andy Carroll. Is there a better header of the ball that has ever played in the Premier League?
Mark Hughes is a difficult manager to play against. I think it will be a draw but it's difficult to call as Newcastle need to find some consistency.
Where do you even start with that?

The ball skidding off the surface. More shots from distance required to capitalise on the 76% we are having

Shaq could have found either choupo or pieters with his pass, but he found neither. Just need that final ball to be good and we can take this game.
