Normally after watching a mediocre performance like today, which achieved nil points and no goals scored.........Yes Compared to last season it was lightyears better, we didn't win but we were never out of it either, they've spent millions and look no better than us With a couple of additions we'll look good Light years better lol. At 0-1 we were never out of it last season either Same as last season, with a couple of additions we'll be better. Let's hope these additions arrive, soon!!

At 0-1 last season it more often than not turned in to a bigger defeat, we lost 0-1s last season where it should have been more For the most part we looked solid at the back today, with a left wing back who knows what he's doing we'll be fine They obviously got the 3 points but at least we didnt get embarrassed

Bit surprised at the scale of the negative reaction. I thought there was lots and lots to like today. People can't wait to jump on the first defeat. The problem is we have some spineless fuckers that follow Stoke, and they can not wait to jump on anything negative, I watched the game on tinternet today and for me the positives far outweighed the negatives!

Looked alot better than I expected, with the lack of signings. One all would have been a fair result.

Agreed I think a midfield of: Imbula--Cameron--Fletcher Could have done a job today. We could have gone without Bojan and only had Shaq further forward. Shame about Imbula over all but whats done is done.

Cameron to replace Allan. He doesn't deserve to loose his spot in the starting line up with BMI coming in Allen played well today. Probably one of the reasons we conceded with him losing Rooney so easily, but apart from that fuck up I thought he was one of the better players. This is the problem with Cameron. Too often we're saying things like 'apart from his mistake on the goal, he played well'. But that's the problem, he's cost us a goal again that lost us the game. He's a bit like a better Marc Wilson, will make a sloppy mistake most games which usually gets punished.

Positives! At last! We aren't able to renew our season tickets this year because our daughter achieved a first class honours degree in Mathematics in July, as was expected and has been accepted to do her Masters in Biomedical Statistics at Leeds in September. Unfortunately, we can't do it all (since we actually work for a living, it would be gifted to her if we didn't ) so Stoke has to be shelved this year. That doesn't mean that today hasn't crushed me after 13 years and next week will feel even worse. I love my club, my kids love this club and we'll be back next year. In the meantime, be strong....we've been through worse than one-nil defeats. UTMP

Perhaps I am being negative. The reason is because I have totally lost patience with the manager. I am not feeling negative about the club. My own thoughts are that another manager might get a lot more from our players. In my opinion hughes is tactically inept. There were no indications today that Hughes will be a better manager this season. Again, I felt we were playing a poor side today. Our lack of any sort of fucking strategy to score a single solitary fucking goal has cost us a soft defeat. When you lose and the other team only had one chance in the game you have to look at yourselves. Poor. Very poor

The back line looked top notch. Add in Bruno, and I don't see many games of conceding 4 goals. Mame was immense. Was a big Pieters fan but time for an upgrade sadly
