think we have seen the last of bojan. with his mucker[muni] leaving i dont think it will take much for him to return home. doubt we will even get a fee for him either given his form/fitness over the last 18 months

I can see this season being very interesting the last time mark hughes changed a squad as drastically as this was with qpr and what happened there well keep hoping sonny. but if you bother to do any research you will see that teams that havent made major changes over the season have gone down newcastle, villa, sunderland. we needed to move on our older players esp whelan as it was slowing us down on the pitch. but dont let those facts spoil your agenda

For me Bojan thrives with a very mobile centre forward in front of him. One that will find pockets of space and in turn creates pockets of space giving Bojan a target to hit. When he has one who is quite static or makes the wrong runs then it makes it easier for players to close him down. With Diouf he's great. When he's got say Crouch in front of him that's when he struggles Funny that given he's rarely featured alongside diouf, if ever, in competitive action. His best form was alongside Walters of all people, pre injury. I think the player who brought the best out of bojan was nzonzi ,

I hope he gets his mojo back. Just don't play him at Rochdale ever again!

If we could find another, that would be marvellous.

I think Bojan needs to have a team built around him playing the 10 role to thrive, sadly I have come to the conclusion that as much as I like him he isn't reliable enough for us to do that and at best I see him being a cover option for Shaqiri

re Girona interest...
Are Bojan and Sergi Gomez real possibilities?
The interest in Bojan is clear, but it will be complicated. Many teams. I have no information on S.Gomez
Hard to see them being able to get close to affording him?

I think (hope?) he'll start the season as our first choice 10. However a slow start and I think that will be it for him.
The problem is that, playing poorly, he brings so little to the side. Even in poor form Crouch is still tall, Allen runs about a lot and Shaquiri can hit a mean free kick. Bojan though can't defend effectively and is easily moved off the ball and dispossessed if he dwells on it. We're not good enough to carry that much of a passenger.
The saddest thing is that he might end up a scapegoat for something that isn't his fault. He can hardly shift the ball on quickly if there's nobody to pass to, and he really needs there to be enough other threats to occupy the opposition and buy him a bit of space to work in.

Confidence is what he needs once he gets that back he will fly. The quality of this kid is so underrated it's unreal.

He has to show some form this season

He had a few nice touches but for me he's to lightweight if Shaq and Bera are playing. Good technical player but not robust enough for the PL.

Think that is a great analysis - I'd only add that, like Sparky in his own playing days, Bojan is streaky and seems to get runs of lukc - for a few games everything will come right but then he can't pick a pass to save his life and honestly I don't think he;s in control of those streaks, it's just how he's made. I have a hunch that just maybe a rock solid player like Fletcher can free Bojan up to do what he does but that prob needs an equally rock solid striker too. If Crouchy was younger, different story maybe (I'm a massive Crouchy fan but you just can't build a team strategy around a 36-y-o at this leevel)

Thought he was fine today. Perfectly reasonable 7 out of 10
Choupo was even better.
Really don't see how anyone can watch that game and think otherwise.
Stoke played quite well, worth a draw.
Didn't do enough where it counts but the home crowd were mightily relived at the end.

Too lightweight and just doesn't offer anything. Shame really, not the same player since Rochdale. I genuinely believed we had found our own version of Messi at the time. He was so so good in the months before his injury. Sadly, for whatever reasons, it's looking like that player died at Rochdale and will forever be consigned to our memories. It's very sad and I still hope to be proved wrong, but his window of opportunity must surely now be precariously narrow. Should we never see that player again however, I'll still look back at that period of form (and a few other great moments since) with the utmost fondness.

You see what you want to see
Me, I saw a player who attempted to link defence to attack with hopeless opportunities due to an isolated Berahino
He was one of our better players

Easily pushed off the ball in the first half and completely anonymous in the second, today. He has no future at Stoke

i want from an attacking midfielder some cutting through balls, some dibbles and shots! i can only recall a dribble down the left and a floated shot? sadly he doesnt appear to be the same player he was! He comes across as a great guy but we cant keep on defending him. Its almost like hes lost pace!! i really dont know what the answer is with him.

He offers nothing

Important to be fair to players otherwise we are not supporters just whining bastards. E.g Pieters, I agree that he has been poor for ages but have to say he was pretty steady today (no Arnie in front of him...) and even put a very dangerous cross in.

Technically a very good player and seems like a nice kid. But mentally and physically too fragile for the Prem. He'd be better off going back to Spain, and playing for a mid table La Liga side...
Having said that, i still get excited when i see his name on the team sheet...

Nice guy.
Had one great season, got injured and never really came back the same or other managers wished up and physically took him out of play.
People say the cupboard is bare.
I don't agree we, he is half the reason Berahino is isolated. The Christmas tree at the top needs to be inverted with 2 at the top and Shaquiri in behind them and then we have plenty of options. Joselu, Crouch, the new guy, Diouf, Ngoy.
Mind you an upgrade on Diouf , Crouch and Joselu I would not say no to.

After avoiding injury and getting more game time last season I'm expecting him to be the bollocks this year. I still have faith in him.
