So we are going with Berahino or Crouch up top all season then? Is Hughes trying to get the sack on purpose? Deadlines the 31st mate...crikey

Agree with Franklin - if he goes to Newcastle, it is guaranteed that he'll score against us. The way he reacted to his own rebound off the post against St. Pauli was a thing of beauty. Berahino, on the other hand . . . it just defies belief. I knew he'd sell Joselu as soon as he found form. Fucking mystifying. NO mystery
Acccording to the telegraph he has fell out with hughes ... like walters he believes there is no way he is worse than berahino .
Sad situation ...my prediction is sobhi will fall out with hughes next for the same reason as walters and joselu

If Joselu goes to Newcastle and becomes their Michu it would be fucking disastrous.

IMO
Joselu and walters are both in the right for demanding a move .
There is no way either of them are as bad as berahino and good on them for standing their ground .
As for Hughes , he has embarrassed himself and Rafa and Dysche are pissing themselves laughing at him

You can't have favourites in professional football
Walters and Joselu both know they have played better for stoke city than berahino AND the stats prove that .
They are both in the right to demand their move .
Look at it this way ...if joselu was your son would you tell him to sit on the bench at stoke and watch berahino play ???
THe answer to that question is why he's leaving

If Joselu goes to Newcastle and becomes their Michu it would be fucking disastrous. I wouldn't worry. He may score against us, but he's not even going to be first choice at Newcastle, and they're going straight down.

for what its worth ( which is nowt )
walters is a better player than berahino joselu is a better player than berahino Ramadan is a better player than berahino
As for joselu my opinion is that he is technically gifted , a great finisher and a bit of a pussy . IMO he's got everything you need to be a top striker except bravery . Which as the stats show makes him a big improvement on berahino .

Dyche is laughing that much he left Walters on the bench on Saturday behind that fantastic striker, Sam Vokes.

Got to admit, the sense on Tyneside is tentative optimism. He's never really had a great scoring record, but you all seem pretty disappointed to see him go (if he does complete his medical obvs).
Our biggest worry is that he's not really featured for you, he didn't score loads before he joined you, he's only costing us £5m in an inflated market and he doesn't seem like he'll slot straight into Benitez's favoured striking role.

If we get our money back for him and replace him with Jese then that's worked out pretty well for us, he clearly isn't going to feature in Hughes' plans so best we get him off the wage bill. I can't see him scoring more than 6 goals for Newcastle in this league.

For £5m I think its a good deal for you, but don't expect too much from him. He never got a fair chance at Stoke (like so many other strikers we've tried), he's never going to be prolific but surrounded by the right players there is definitely potential there.

He's 27 isn't he? I dunno, I was wrong when I criticised the signing of 33yr old Daryl Murphy in the Championship, but this doesn't really blow my skirt up. That said, there's a fair sized group of people who think Rafa Benitez is a better football manager than I am, so maybe they're right...

That's kind of what I expected. To be fair though, £5m isn't going to buy you a 12-15 goal a season striker for the Premier League.

Stoke want to tie up the season-long loan of PSG striker Jese Rodriguez before giving Newcastle and Joselu the green light. Seem to be linking the two here. Lazy journalism, smokescreen? Let's hope so.

Cheers. That's kind of what I expected. To be fair though, £5m isn't going to buy you a 12-15 goal a season striker for the Premier League. Genuinely believe that he is an excellent natural finisher and we will regret letting him go. Get him service could get those 12+ goals.
