My most disliked episode of the Incredible Hulk is where a small group of protesters is determined to drown out any verbal justification or argument which goes against their own narrow view of how the world should be, thus denying others the opportunity to make up their own minds about the rights and wrongs of a particular situation. Come to think of it, it could be the same episode!

Good for him. The following from the BBC Brussels correspondent explains why ( link): “As soon as we arrived at the office of the prime minister of Luxembourg it became obvious a planned outdoor news conference could not go ahead. The anti-Brexit protesters in the square numbered less than a hundred but their music and megaphones made it sound like a lot more and they occasionally used language you wouldn't want to hear on the news. Behind the scenes the British and Luxembourgish delegations grappled with a diplomatic dilemma - move the event inside but exclude the majority of the journalists? Gamble that the demonstrators could pipe down for a bit? Silence the host to save the guest's blushes? The end result saw Mr Johnson do a short interview at the ambassador's residence to be shared with everyone while Mr Bettel took to the stage next to an empty podium.” So what we have is some showboating politics from an EU politician looking to score points over the prime minister of the UK. Shame on Mr Bettel. Good for Mr Johnson. Bettel has his moment (( 15 minutes )) of fame . He's he equivalent to the mayor of Bristol and he has the nerve to stand there and act like Charlie big potatoes and criticise the whole Brexit process , my advice is shut up and concentrate on your pifiling little backwater

“President Juncker recalled that it is the UK’s responsibility to come forward with legally operational solutions that are compatible with the Withdrawal Agreement. President Juncker underlined the Commission’s continued willingness and openness to examine whether such proposals meet the objectives of the backstop. Such proposals have not yet been made.”
Interesting that Junker and the PM of Luxembourg state that any proposals that Johnson comes up with have to be in agreement with the WA. An agreement that hasn't been agreed and has been thrown out by the UK parliament. So, essentially they are NOT willing and open to discuss any proposals.
It's as clear as day that we have to have a clean break.

Again, Boris Johnson making us even more of a laughing stock. Today's events were an absolute embarrassment. Is anyone convinced we're any closer to a deal despite what the blonde buffoon and the likes of Steve Barclay say?

The WA has been agreed between the U.K. government and the EU. In fact, the backstop was our government's idea. Yes, Parliament has rejected it and Johnson says he wants to remove the backstop, so it's up to us to come up with an alternative.

Made me laugh Beth Rigby comparing Jo Swinson to Nigel Farage. The Lib Dems are going down a very dangerous route stoking up tensions between leave and remain. Its like they want a cival war.
There is not 1 party worth voting for at the moment, they all seem to have some crazy ideology.

They haven't negotiated in good faith from day one . Insisting on a deal that has been rejected 3 times shows nothing but contempt for the UK parliament and the voters who made Brexit happen

There is not 1 party worth voting for at the moment, they all seem to have some crazy ideology. The LibDems are positioning themselves for a General Election. The Remain Party. If there is General Election then it will basically be a second referendum If the parties don't align themselves then they could be toast. It's going to perhaps come down to what it should have been from day one ( but impossible of course) that is a Party giving a mandate for leave or stay. Clusterfuck Central.

I stand by my earlier comment. If a British PM is trying to get a deal, I will support them irrespective of the party they represent. People want him to fail, partly for party political reasons and also because they want to Remain at any cost.
Bitter lemons all round.

The GE could obliterate the liberals. Sure they will get their few southern seats but people won’t take too kindly to having turn coats like chukka and the rest thrust upon them.
Swinson was a car crash on breakfast tv this morning.
This may end up worse than increasing tuition fees for the liberals.

They have turned it into an us and them scenario but that doesn't mean you have to be gullible enough to get drawn in. I voted Brexit and i will 100% be voting labour in the next general election. Policies are the most important part of politics not the result of a referendum. The problem with Brexit is the transition period to leave is too short for a country our size. Realistically we need to ease ourselves out over about 10 years, but politicians are too busy playing games to make sensible proposals.
