That's a bit rich mate. When people who voted out on this message board call people who voted remain "remoaners" Brexiteer sounds quite cool actually😊 If I had voted out then I would have no problem with that handle. And to be honest... It is a "us and them" scenario.. Just like politics. The problem with Brexit is the transition period to leave is too short for a country our size. Realistically we need to ease ourselves out over about 10 years, but politicians are too busy playing games to make sensible proposals. Bang on. The trouble is, you've got idiots like Farage thinking it's some kind of glorious independence day to be celebrated annually.

They have turned it into an us and them scenario but that doesn't mean you have to be gullible enough to get drawn in. I voted Brexit and i will 100% be voting labour in the next general election. Policies are the most important part of politics not the result of a referendum. The problem with Brexit is the transition period to leave is too short for a country our size. Which is why I think Labour would be better honouring the result of the referendum, not being the party of Remain like Sadiq thinks they are. Even if it's the dreaded "soft" Brexit. It immediately distances them from the blatant "I shit on your vote" stance of the Liberal Democrats, even if that is an honest position.

They have lost a lot of trust now though and that rubbish about negotiating a deal and then campaigning against it, is ridiculous. Labour are the centre ground now by some way so maybe that will be enough, it depends whether people give a shit anymore. They are all playing into Boris's hands at the moment, i really can't see him losing. The Lib Dems have messed up, but then again the scent of power does make them go a bit mental. They ought to change their name to the coalition party, not because that is their only chance but because they are made up of members from all the other parties. I have said before, they will take anyone with a seat no matter where they are from.

They seem to have been concerned that their Brexit position of a second referendum wasn’t sufficiently different to Labour’s so they went a bit further to ensure they are proposing the most extreme leave possible. In doing so they’ve left, IMO, a potentially viable middle ground for Labour where before there was none. They’ve fallen into the trap of preaching to their converted. I doubt this position will win them any more votes than they would already have got, but may lose them quite a few. Elections are won by persuading folk that don’t agree with you or are uncertain to back you.

Bettel has his moment (( 15 minutes )) of fame . He's he equivalent to the mayor of Bristol and he has the nerve to stand there and act like Charlie big potatoes and criticise the whole Brexit process , my advice is shut up and concentrate on your pifiling little backwater I have to say this EU nonentities are very obliging first Guy (check his hard drive) and now already forgotten his name from Amazon tax haven land both doing straight to camera adverts for the next leave campaign. Strange how a social(ist) justice (keyboard) warrior like Mo is happy to be cheering on the leader of a country that supports tax avoidance on a colossal scale. And pockets huge wads of cash from the EU that makes leafs the with the highest GDP per capita in Europe. The undeserving rich would be a reasonable description of Luxembourg. One might think his hatred of all things Tory is blinding him to the capitalist injustices that sit at the heart of Euroland in Luxembourg. But, I guess, he is one of those folk who follow the old, but daft, adage that my enemy’s enemy is my friend. And Boris is the enemy.

That's the problem They don't mix. It's basically a Tory civil war that has dragged everybody into it. Your commentm about a long transition period is absolutely correct. But it could never happen unless the guidelines were set down before the referendum with a clear structure. It was an ill thought out catastrophic decision that will fester for many years.

It's been the most divisive issue of our lifetime and has made us choose sides and had kicked the art of compromise into the long grass. It's either one or the other and fuck all inbetween. I hate what it's done to this country and its people at times.

The element of surprise is lost. After 3yrs of a Tory folly the Germans have got bored & consider the EU market a better bet than the Uk. But I thought they were desperate to sell us their cars. I’m sure that was on the big red bus as well.

It's worth listening to the most recent Nick Robinson podcast with Jon Trickett on this. He has little time for the idea that becoming a remain party would fly, at least in his constituency. [Political Thinking with Nick Robinson] The Jon Trickett One #politicalThinkingWithNickRobinson podplayer.net/?id=81041651 via @podcastaddict And if you want a good laugh/cringe listen to this interview with the Lib Dem candidate for North Devon. They will constantly tie themselves up in knots like this trying to deliver their new message. Absolute madness. Guaranteed not to win new voters and will probably lose some existing ones with this nonsense. They already had a monopoly on remain at all cost voters so why become such zealots?

Luxembourg has had the benefit of some fantastic tax treaties for many years. The US fucked up one of their biggest money earners with financing structures with their announcement in Dec 2018. Tax avoidance centres like Luxembourg are dying. The amusing part is that the UK has the ‘patent box’’ which lowers the tax rate to 10%. For all those moaning about tax avoidance, ask yourselves what differentiates global business investing in your country. US states give tax breaks left right & centre to attract & retain business. The reason behind that is most taxes are actually paid by employees, not the corporation.

Swinson's finished before she started, after that interview on GMB.
And with slimeball Chukka now put front and centre - what the hell does this party represent?
The reason they talk about stopping Brexit is because they have finally found an idea.
Revoke the Liberal Autocrats.
Sturgeon, Lucas, Swinson and May - decent women leaders are as common as the Amur Leopard.

It also ignores the fact that loads of Labour voters ditched Labour for UKIP, so all the while Labour was being supported by supposed racists. Of course they will stop being racist the minute they put their X in the right box.

As much as I'm favour of remain, I just couldn't bring myself to vote for a feminist. The incessant whining from female/women who don't realise that they already have equal rights and are vastly better off than half the worlds female population pisses me off. Nothing more annoying than a woman on a power trip.

Which is, of course, complete horse shit. I wouldn't say it's far from the truth. Anyone who is a xenophobe or racist would vote for Brexit. Based on their stance it would make sense for them to do so. Of course that doesn't mean it should be a sweeping generalisation of all Brexit supporters. On the same logic I would expect most minority groups, homosexuals, lesbians and Sam Smiths to vote for Lib Dems.

Yes indeed That would be interesting. I wonder though if the remainers fighting this case would go down that route if the Supreme Court rules against them knowing they will be handing more ammunition to their opponents. I sort of hope they do because the fall out would be very entertaining.

It is not possible to appeal against the decisions of national courts in the ECJ, but rather national courts refer questions of EU law to the ECJ.
