Is there anyone who genuinely thinks he would be a good option?

To clarify I was taking the piss. I'd go for Chris Coleman.... Quick look at his club management record screams no ta. Done well with Wales. With the exception of loveshimselfwouldntlooktwiceatStoke Rodgers British managers are depressing choices To clarify I was still taking the piss. IF Hughes was to go I'd be tempted by Dr Josef Venglos the bloke has unfinished business in this league....

Bloody hell, not too many managers resign. Sounds like they came to a mutual agreement or he has a job to go to.

Did very well at Everton over a sustained period of time, I wouldn't be against it, still prefer big Sam though.

Refused the £3 million compensation he was entitled to with his resignation, he deserves a lot of credit for that if nothing else. He's probably well aware now of the scale of financial mess Sunderland could end up in.
