Real Valladolid came years ago mate, about 2009/10 pre-season. 2-2 draw, I went to it as I generally go to different parts of the ground during pre-season instead of always being in the same seat like I do with my season ticket. I'm thinking it was earlier than that and I have some strange idea Tommy Mooney was playing did we have anyone foreign at home in 2002. Just seen we played Valencia at home in 2004 pre-season, Asaba scored in a 1-0 win.

Stoke are always 'quiet' about pre-season tours There is a thread or three moaning (quite rightly) about this lack of communication every summer. They probably think anyone who'd want to go to them is a bit puddled. A weekend in Cologne like two years ago in the middle of summer with 2 Stoke games thrown in. Its better than the regular season I reckon! BM

BM Missed that one through a combination of indecision and work, but I've been to Austria, Belgium and Singapore so far pre-season and had a great time every time, I'm looking on with interest cos I've got some AirMiles to use up and fancy a couple of days on the piss with my sons

We could reminisce about our favourite Pulis moments! BM

People are desperate for Hughes to fail. He's outperformed the previous manager time and time again. Get over it, the toxic prick ain't coming back. He's ten times better than Mr 4 past Stoke joke of a manager

For better or worse at least his sides showed spunk. I may be in a minority but Hughes has bored me more (especially the last two seasons) than pulis ever did
