Sky sports are saying Rafa wants 100 million for transfers, fkn ludicrous. How many clubs in the world would give him thats sort of money. Go away Raf use your managerial skills too stay in premiership for 20 million, so say some numbnuts on here. Thats a crazy request and shows he has no intention of staying at Newcastle. Even the fans will side with Mike Ashley if he comes out with that bullshit. BUT it also means he isnt coming to Stoke if he wants monopoly money to spend on fancy names.

Take a look at that current side and tell me who Rafa would run with in the Prem next season.

Have you not noticed this season? 3 9th place finishes are fine and all that was needed but this season we are likely gonna finish around 15th looking at our current form. THATs why he will be sacked So, if someone like Rafa came in and got us two or three consecutive 8th place finishes and then had a hiccup and ended up, say, 13th in his fourth season, then he'd be on his way too? I can't see any worthwhile manager taking on a job where any hiccup in any four year period results in the P45. It's not just the league position that has everyone upset - it has a lot more to do with the style of football we are playing. The players look out of shape, and disinterested. The blame for that lies squarely at the feet of management. There's more to managing a PL team than signing exciting players, waving a magic wand and hoping they gel as a team. I'd be quite happy with our league position and losing half the games if we put up a good fight, which we do occasionally but not on a regular basis.

One more season to do what? What does success look like in your opinion?

We've sold less than only Boro and Burnley in the last 5 years? That speaks volumes when you consider the quality of a few that we've sold...

BBC reports Lee Charnley has been arrested at the stadium. This Fraud thing could run all through the summer. If Rafa's already discontent over transfer funds then this is not going to help is it. COates would be mad not to inquire....if he hasnt already.

Blah blah blah The bottom line is some want hughes gone because we havent progressed this season, so it is about where we finish. ffs stop making shit up and admit thats the bottom line. If we had played briliantly do you think we would have finished 8th, like we were 20th march 2016
