yes of course mainly because it is true, he has been in fantastic form. Jack needs to demonstrate that he has recovered his pre-injury form. Not easy after a year off. Once fit he's in. Has to be that simple. Once fit and back to his best he will walk in but has to pass those two hurdles first

on stats we have the best English keeper this year and we want to replace him with one that's had a year out makes sense Jack yes is a better keeper but better to give him run outs in under 23's and also in pre season to get him fully match fit we need to look to the future of the team and not a reaction to 1 game better a fit jack long term than one injured again!!!

Like everybody Grant was expecting the free kick to be whipped across the goal area. The two man wall was positioned to deal with the direct shot but wasn't correctly placed and should have been further to the right to prevent the curler. Grant was caught out and did manage to get two hands on the ball but couldn't prevent the goal because of the power of the shot and being unsighted by the two man wall. Not a howler imo would Butland have stopped it. I doubt it very much. Butland might have put the wall in the right place.

Don't fret when Butland is back and makes a mistake he will get slaughtered on here by the usual moaners.

Yes Grant is that bad yet he is the only keeper in the Prem to stop Man. C. scoring at the Etihad this season

I see another load of drivel from the usual suspects on the Oatcake today... Even Grant is getting a kicking this time.It was Ryan's turn a few weeks ago. The Stoke City kit man and laundry lady will be next on the list......Watch this space ! 😉

Tbf Grant has been getting it all season from me.
He's been good but he's really nothing special and people overrate because of the alternatives who couldn't save shots. He's an average goalie.

Look at Karius at Liverpool. Bravo at Man City.
We've had a brilliant goalkeeper this season. Heroics at Man Utd earned us a point. Just one game of many where he's kept us in the game and earned us many valuable points.
Player of the season, no doubt.

The second goal was 100 percent Erik's fault. It was embarrasingly wank from him. Nothing to do with the keeper.

This is probably one of the most unfair comments ever on this board! Yesterday was probably the first time he made a mistake that have cost us anything at all! He has ben f------g excellent the whole season for us (I know he didn't play the first games for us), and also yesterday he made some outstanding saves! How many games have you actually seen this season!!! I've seen more than you sunshine. Doesn't seem like that Dark Side!

The West Brom corner leading to the goal he clearly shouts to Bruno, at worst I'd say a misunderstanding. The Leicester goal was a clear misjudgement, to blame him for the Rooney strike is incredibly harsh and yesterday was an out and out mistake. If that's it then fair play he's had a real good season....

You shouldn't have to tell a defender to get out of the way when all has to do is wrap his foot around the ball and get rid. Mistake by Pieters which he acknowledges himself.....

Are some people on here seriously suggesting that Grant should have shouted to Pieters to leave the ball on the second goal? Pisser, I really don't think some people have ever kicked a ball in their life let alone play a game at any level.

He's an excellent shot stopper I agree but there's a reason he hadn't played in the itemiser league before with that talent and it's around commane and control of his area and a propensity to drop real clangers

As stated above yesterday was about as close to a "clanger" as he's made all season. Did you see the seasoned campaigner Valdes earlier now that was a real clanger....
