The Times is reporting this morning that John Terry is open to a move and that we made a bid in January. The other interested club is West Brom.
Not at all sure that we should be considering a 36 year old who has played just 4 league games this season. Can't imagine he'd ask for a modest wage and, let's face it, he brings a lot of baggage.

If ryan was injured he'd be an asset to the end of the season. But he isn't - so we don't need him.

I'd walk over coals to get him here. One of the finest centre halves of his generation.
Can still reach Ryan a trick or two and would be wonderful for Harry Souttar and Ryan Sweeney.

Really hope not. He's a despicable human being. Don't want him anywhere near my club.

I hope we are not after him because Martins Indi had said he won't sign for us.

He'll go through the other players' wives like a dose of salts. Then Bardsley will knock him out in his kitchen.

I'd prefer Ryan and Indi everytime. If we don't get Indi he'd be a decent option on a 1 year deal in the hope that he'll help the 2 young lads through. Would be very decent if we're looking at 3 CBs. He is of questionable character but I don't actually think he's as bad as some say and he does appear to have grown up. We're not looking at a joey Barton here now that would be a different matter.

John Terry will consider joining another Premier League club in the summer after receiving further indications that his playing career at Chelsea is coming to an end.
Terry received offers to join Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion during the January transfer window, The Times has learnt, as well as a loan approach from Bournemouth. He opted to stay at Chelsea in an attempt to win a fifth Premier League title with the club at which he has spent his entire career.
Terry has always stated that he will not sign for another Premier League club but, such is his desire to keep playing next season, he may have a change of heart. The 36-year-old has been a frustrated bystander as Chelsea have established a ten-point lead at the top of the table, making just four league starts all season, although the club have been impressed with his professional attitude. The club want Terry to stay at Stamford Bridge, however, and are likely to offer him coaching opportunities at youth-team level, but his inactivity for much of this season is believed to have strengthened his desire to keep playing.
Terry has a good relationship with Mark Hughes, the Stoke manager, and came close to signing for him when he was at Manchester City eight years ago. An offer from Stoke or another mid-ranking Premier League club would be given serious consideration.
Terry’s willingness to consider staying in the Premier League has also been influenced by his limited options elsewhere. There is little interest from the United States because of his anticipated wage demands and the reluctance of Major League Soccer clubs to sign high-earning defenders, and, while several Chinese Super League clubs have prepared offers, Terry is reluctant to move his family to the Far East.

God forbid we sign a thirty six year old.........no defender scores more goals off corners than he does...worth a twelve month deal,it isn't as if we haven't wasted enough money on loan deals in the past.

Seems to be basically an old-fashioned 'come-and-get-me-plea'
It would have been interesting to see what would've happened if we'd signed him in January as he isn't the kind of bloke who joins a mid-table club to sit on the bench.
37 in December, but can only imagine the wage demands he'd have as players with his ego don't tend to realise they're no longer at their peak.
If BMI goes elsewhere, is a Terry-Shawcross partnership viable for a year?

It would be nice to see a Stoke player ascending the steps at Wembley to collect a trophy.
We might not have won it, but, you know...

Are we aiming for the oldest team in Premier League history?
Gareth Barry isnt getting much game time at Everton, maybe we can buy him to complete the Dad's Army for next season

I don't think he will. He was reported as saying when they left the pitch after they'd beaten us, "Now let's get the fuck out of this shithole!" He's been a fantastic centre half in his career but if we're looking to bring in a 36 year old then God help us. OS.

Are Stoke fans are of our history? If there is one set of supporters who shouldn't be upset at signing great players right at the end of their career it's us.

I wouldn't want him at the expense of Bruno. But I'd have him. Why not? He might be a cunt, but I don't really care about that. I don't think there's any danger of him fucking my missus. In fact if he did it'd save me a job. Get him in I say.
