On facebook they are a hoot. I hope we are using their enthusiasm for marketing purposes and at least selling a few shirts. I don't care why people suppourt us, frankly. I used to go in the boothen paddock (my mates dad was a steward and used to let us climb over the turnstiles) and next to us stood some mancs who followed sammy macilroy whoever he played for so following a player isn't new. I reckon we should be there pre season at least for a bit.

Of course we are doing something to capitalise....This is Stoke City..... We'll probably do nothing, at best we'll try to sell something to them with a misspelled Arabic phrase that will offend all of North Africa and the Middle East

We should welcome them with open arms
respect them, their religion, and embrace such attention

Im highly opinionated on a lot of things
- not really that religous myself
but I do agree with what Dave Allen used to say at the very end of his then weekly Saturday
night BBC show back in the seventies
'Good night and may your god go with you'

Didn't one of our Egyptian friends say there's a huge market for knock off shirts over there? Bit pointless trying to flog full price official shirts if nobody will buy them

well then, stoke to get some knock off shirts made up and sell them quietly in the bazaar

Well as an Egyptian i can give you a good idea about the Egyptian people and marketing Stoke city shirt,Ramadan Sobhi came to Stoke city from the most famous club not only in Egypt but in Africa and the middle east as well.there are stoke city shirts which are already being sold in Egypt and of course you are not the origin.. Al Ahly club which Ramadan came from has more than 40 million fans in Egypt , they love Ramadan and support him and cheer for Stoke city because Ramadan plays there. many of young people want to buy the Stoke city shirt because they look up to Ramadan but the thing is the original shirt will be too expensive for them as Egypt is not a rich country at the current time. If your club can arrange an event in Egypt where Ramadan is available to sign some shirts , i think this experience might be profitable especially if it is to be made in many of the big cities in Egypt other than Cairo.
