Might as well talk about this game now as today's is well and truly over.
Berahino to start?

Defo
Let's put the Crouch experiment to bed. Have Saido as no. 1 CF. Move Charlie to the bench for GCam or Afellay, then persevere with that for the rest of the season.

Bony for me as I felt his hold up play gave us a extra chance to get people forward , but agree team needs changing for undoubtedly the biggest game of the season .

We'll grind out a boring, turgid 1-0 win and we'll be told by the happy clappers that Hughes is the man and we all look like a bunch of dicks for criticising him today.

We'll certainly need some creativity in there to unlock their defence. They're like a Pulis team of old on steroids away from home.

I'm back to the last Pulis season feeling wondering if with the turgid shit we have to endure it's worth bothering to renew my ticket. Our season ticket buys 19 home games and frankly with the rubbish that is being churned out we are lucky there are some really rubbish below us to keep us out of the bottom three.

Must admit, I'm feeling the same fenton. Getting hammered by these teams is very demoralising. Something I don't like seeing as often as we are this season. Got Citeh, Chelski and Liverpool coming up as well. Not looking forward to it!

Boro for all their problems can be really solid and organised. Concede the first goal and we could be well and truly screwed.

What a wank game this is going to be, both sides are shit going forward.
In fact not even going forward they're both just shit in general.

We should start Berhino, Cameron and Affaley; dropping Crouch, Whelan and Adam.
Crouch hold up play is good but with him on the pitch we just lump it up to him.

Got Citeh, Chelski and Liverpool coming up as well. Not looking forward to it! I can't remember the last time me and my son didn't have a season ticket / card but...we won't be bothering for the 2017/18 season. I'd imagine that the last couple of seasons have been bad enough for Stoke based Stokies, but when you've got 380 miles and 6-7 hours drive just to get to the Brit / 365, well 😟

It's a chance to start planning for next season now we are safe and have 12 games to secure our position in the top 10. The team that finished today should start unless we think saido needs more work in which case bring in Diouf or Bony

Really tough game and they are desperate for points a draw wouldn't be a bad result with one eye over our shoulders.
Changes have to take place but where and with who?
Grant - Deserves the shirt, no blame today
Bardsley - No one else, will have to do
BMI - Struggled today, persevere
Muniesa - Shouldnt have been dropped, should replace the captain
Pieters - There is no one else, needs to be addressed in summer
Cameron - No idea how long he will last but has energy and athleticism which we are badly lacking
Allen - Last chance before being dropped playing where he was signed for
Sobhi - need Arnautovic in his natural position so Ramadan has to shift
Affelay - joint best player at the club needs to start in behind to give us composure up the pitch
Arnautovic (c) - same as Affelay, play him in his natural position. Captain for the day
Diouf - we need pace, from anywhere yes he is a shit finisher but has as many goals as anyone else over the last 3 years and will pressure defences.
Huge huge window in the summer, we need young athletic players desperately!

We have clearly had far worse sides but there has been something very demoralising about the past 18 months. Perhaps it's the the hope that kills you, but all I know is I leave the vast majority of games feeling a bit disappointed and not very enthused about the next fixture.

The level of change you highlight is a very very risky business in the premier league but I se no choice if we are still in it, bought about by horror window after horror window and it's there in the transfer group that we need the most radical change , look at Everton's improvement since signing Walsh

Each to their own, I still enjoy the drive/train ride from Manchester to Stoke in anticipation, the only time I haven't had that feeling at this stadium was the last half of the Brian Little season and the last season under Pulis.....
