Good player, no doubt about it. I don't think he's got a lot of heart, goes missing a lot, but when he fancies it, he's great to watch.
Sadly, if you cannot get him on to the pitch, then he's worthless. He should be showing the Premier League that he's as good as he thinks he is. Whilst you've got to believe that his injuries are genuine, because you've got no evidence to the contrary, I can't help feeling that if he was at a Top 4 club, he'd make himself be fit & available (see Victor Moses).

so - if this was your business - your money - would you employ him ?
dont get me wrong, he's class - but unfit far too often to be 'cost effective'
and I'm not so sure about him now and actively thinking, maybe we cash in on the summer and get some more lads like Sohbi in
keen - hungry - reliable

I don't have a problem with anyone who finds him frustrating, but to suggest he fakes his injuries is just absolute shit. I also don't agree with comments like 'He's got no heart or desire'. If it was my business and my money... i'd have to have a good think about it!

They simply don't. Some will run through walls. Some won't. Shaqiri strikes me as one of the latter. That's just my opinion, having one doesn't make me an idiot (or any less of a 'fan')... I did say that I had to trust that his injuries are genuine. In my opinion, a player that you can only get on the pitch for 10-14 games a season (and then, of those, he's 'good' in 5-6 of them), then he becomes massively unreliable, takes up a key squad place* and is an expensive luxury. You think differently, that's fine, I don't think it's good enough. * taking up a squad place is one thing, but he's supposedly first choice...even worse.

You clearly said you think he is making himself unavailable intentionally, in other words, faking an injury so he doesn't play - Here is your direct quote "I can't help feeling that if he was at a Top 4 club, he'd make himself be fit & available ". I've said I agree his fitness is frustrating, but to suggest he could play but just doesn't want to is fucking nonsense, and based on nothing at all, apart from your opinion, which of course you're entitled to, I just think it makes you an idiot. Yep, bye, such a great supporter accusing our players of faking injury so they don't have to play.

Can you think of any other Premiership club who would want to pay £12 million for him now ? If we made him available I'm sure there would be takers, you really can't buy players of that ability for £12 anymore. He's not consistently good enough for the big clubs and £12 million + contract is a big deal deal for smaller clubs.
