Oh dear. What a sad day for some stoke fans tonight. Not really. I'm as happy as anyone when stoke get 3 points. But does that mean we forget the last 12 months? Not for me but let's hope we can make it 2 in 2 by beating them bastards next week. Come on stoke! That is 2 and 2. The last twelve months? We started the year in 9th, finished 9th and are currently 9th. Over the last twelve months we've had one of the worst injury runs in the clubs history. Hughes can be frustrating, but he's a solid manager, pick a manager who doesn't get things right and wrong?

Played well today but lets not get overly confident eh? Sunderland will probably go down. We have a massive test against Man utd next week. Why cant Hughes get them to play like that every game? Just because we beat a shockingly bad Sunderland team doesn't paper over the cracks of the shit weve had to watch for the last 18 months. So fuck off to the people that are now saying everything will be alright. Hughes out in the summer. Thats my stance Sunderland's last 5 home games by the way: Hull City 3-0 Leicester 2-1 Chelsea 0-1 Watford 1-0 Liverpool 2-2 They're crap!! Stop posting facts!

Unfortunately some people have already embarrassed themselves to the extent that they won't want to lose face. Every time we lose they'll be back, whining and bleating because we're not top of the league by 12 points. Spot on. They persist in their agendas and look stupid. Love it.

Every time we lose they'll be back, whining and bleating because we're not top of the league by 12 points. And that, as much as anything on the pitch, is why the club has almost been dragged into a state of crisis over the last few weeks. The knicker wetting from some of our fans at a time when the team has needed our support has been fucking embarrassing. We really don't need fans like them. They're an absolute joke, not fans.

Today changes nothing.
It has never been an issue of us not being able to beat the bottom few teams and stay out of relegation trouble.
The management needs refreshing.

Second half was crap .. Let's put things into perspective please.😉 Let's simplify it. Out on the pitch man for man, are we a million miles away from sunderland? Are we that much stronger that we should be able to go to any ground outside the top six and roll them over? Are we Fuck. We've got a good side and squad that on its day can turn it on, and on another day looks bang average. That's the premier league for any side outside the top six. Enjoy the rollercoaster that is the premier league.

Great win but lets be honest we played for half an hour and let a poor team dominate the match from that point. Yes lets be happy, yes lets give Hughes some credit, lets give Crouch some credit but lets not get carried away we still haven't played well in both halves of a game since god knows when If you think Sunderland dominated that match for an hour, you must be even more clueless than the sum of your posts on this message board suggests - and you've set the bar pretty high over the last few weeks. That, I would respectfully suggest, is just fookin impossible

I haven't got a clue how to do it but I'd guess having watched the game all the stats after their goal would be in their favor. You know like possession, shots on goal, territory, corners etc but whatever they said you's still be right because you're so up your own arse.

I guess you just have to respect the sheer effort he makes to set new standards in stupidity. Hat's off to the fella for aiming high and hitting the mark .

Today doesn't eradicate any of the issues or concerns around Hughes, or a lot of his signings.
It's a great result and much needed 3 points. I'll look forward to watching it back on Match of the Day tonight, especially the second goal.
We desperately needed a cup run though, and we lost against a second string side that is struggling in the championship. And we were at home with all our big guns out. Does winning today mean we just ignore that? No.
We've spent 18 million on a guy who can't even get into the match day squad. Do we just ignore that because we won today? No.
Hughes has had 3 and a half years and his first choice forward is Crouch. One of his recruits (at 5 million quid) is out on loan. Another forward he chased for 18 months is playing at wing back. Another forward he signed is out in the wilderness. Do we just ignore his incompetence to bring in a decent centre forward given the backing he's had because we won today? No.
Yes, we're 9th. But it's ridiculous to suggest everything is fine.
It'll be a step in the right direction if we just don't get spanked for at least 4 next week.
