I think we'll have done okay if we get something around £10-11m (although this Barca clause may mean we get much less)
Without an English buyer (who play by totally different rules to everyone else), I really think we would've struggled to get half that.

I think the club are more interested in clearing wages than sizeable transfer fees. I think we'll struggle to sell imbula though because some face will need to be saved after becoming our record signing for 18 million.
Just imagine if we signed the right players we intended to keep at all costs! Now there is a thought

Will be interesting to see if 'too big for Stoke' matches 'too big for fans' Just out of interest what do we think 'too big to turn down' would be? Bearing in mind Boro have just got £2.5m for Nugent and are asking £9m for Rhodes. Double figures.

A gifted young player who has learned his trade at big clubs. He has recently signed a new 4 year deal, has to be close to 20 million quid surely ? If this happens then I truly believe that we have lost direction.

Fuck sake, on the one hand i'll be devastated if he goes
On the other, it'll be interesting to see if a manager actually setting a team up to suit Bojan brings the best out of him again
One thing's for sure, it's make or break time for Hughes

If he continues to play like he has done for the past year or so anything north of £10 million is a great fee. I just can't see his form changing even at a different club, Hughes was such a massive fan that he gave him a 5 year deal after he came back from that injury but now it seems he's lost patience with him.

selling to a rival who could well pip us for vital points at the end of the season selling a very popular who can make a difference is there any correlation between the downfall of the 70's stoke side that were on the cusp of things, and this squad? are we about to see one action have drastic consequences on the rest of the team?
can't wait to get rid of all the flair players in the next year and be left with Pulis' aging squad on extended contracts

. Enough to buy something we really need but anything around the £10M mark takes a lot of the pressure off Mark when his transfer dealings are scrutinised. See what I did there mark & Mark £10m is nowhere near enough whatever pressure it takes off the manager If we could get a decent CDM or CB for whatever we get for him I'd say it would benefit everyone. He's not going to get regular starts here and we're well covered for the role he plays. Hughes has made a total balls up of the squad its completely unbalanced therefore if you've fucked up and get an opportunity to start rectifying your mistakes you take it.

How did it get to this? Why offer him such a long contract? I don't know if he is fit or not, but bringing in other players in the exact same role can not have helped
Maybe he cant be the player he was, but this does feel like a backward step for us
The money is far less of an issue here

Having watched Middlesbrough this season, their approach is about as pragmatic as it comes. Ramirez has done well as an attacking threat but they're hardly the sort of side Bojan would fit straight in to.

Wonder if he'll WANT to go there? Would have thought he already knew about their interest when his representatives spoke to Hughes about lack of playing time.

Pissed off if Bojan leaves.
I'd be more inclined to fuck the manager off and see what a new man can do with the squad Hughes has put together before getting rid of any of the players.
I'm losing all faith in Hughes successfully replacing any outgoing players.

All players decent for premier league start at 15/17 so we'll be down on the cash, and with a disgruntled squad as the others will son be onto their agents demeanding a move in the summer an almighty fuck up huge mistake in letting him go. we'll watch him in the games after take the opposition to pieces

I know this is going against the grain but I don't expect much for him nor would I necessarily want the club to hang around for a substantial bid, 10m would be great. The problem is he's taking up a space whether that be in the team or in the squad and not performing. I would hope that any replacement would come in and increase their value with playing time. I'm not convinced that even with more playing time Bojan will do this. We know he failed to make an impact at a host of clubs and I question, not his ability but his mental strength. With that in mind he sounds clearly unhappy and I don't think he has the mentality to turn this around. Holding onto him in the hope we get a better bid in my opinion would be folly.
I'd think it would be good to sell him and give the game time and wages to another. As some have said on here I think Shaq could do a job in this role and this could be worth trying especially while he's out of form.
Do we know what Barca would get, I'd be shocked if they didn't have a large sell on clause?

Regarding the point on is there a correlation with the side in the 70s. Simply they did sell key players but the club had serious money problems which we don't have due partly to the Coates family and mostly due to Sky . Also this team has never really been on the verge of great things . The 70s team won a major trophy , was in FA cup semis two tears running and was in the mix for the championship with a few games to go . Also the key players that were sold were tried and tested , Bojan unfortunately is a serial under achiever through his career , sad but true.

Why do people still go on about swapping players when this clearly doesn't happen? Also, it'll be about £11 Million. About the only club that have done it in recent years is.......us! True but not really where 'top' players are concerned. Usually the misfits who need shipping out (Kenwyne was wank for us and Odemwingie was wank for Cardiff).

Why would other players want to leave because of it he rarely features anyway. Why would he start ripping the opposition apart all of a sudden he's been poor for over 12months and looks too lightweight for the Prem.

I think most supporters are just pissed off that it hasn't worked out when you consider the talent that he has. It's a shame but these things happen in football. If we get north of £10million for him then we haven't done too bad as a club in general, but it's a crying shame we couldn't make him into the footballer that he could be.
