Sorry if it isn't form to start one of these so early but I'm getting seriously bored with the lack of proper nogger. A good win here and we will consolidate our season nicely. Team selection depends heavily on injuries I guess but pleased with Ramadan's progress. Given that I'm too idle to look into it any news on any of the injuries?

Shaqiri should be back for the Xmas fixtures. Butland setback not too bad. He'll be fit in January. Bony back in a few weeks.

They have some pacey, tricky players, we need to be switched on for 90 odd minutes
Callum Wilson is back and probably will be giving it that bit of extra effort after last seasons game.

Whelan out. An interesting mid field selection ?

Not an easy fixture but there form is generally better at home. Not sure whether Johnson will be back or not but Whelan will be out. Not sure about Geoff. I'll go with
....................Grant.................
Bards.......Ryan...Indi......Eric
...........Adam..........Allen.......
Arni...............Shaq......Sobhi
......................Bony...............
I think it'll be a little more sensible though with
Adam and Geoff in the DM with Allen and Arni and Shaq out wide which will be more solid.

Either
Grant Bardo/Johnson Shawcross Indi Pieters Adam Allen Cameron Shaq/Arnie Bony Arnie/Sobhi
or
Grant Bardo/Johnson Shawcross Indi Pieters Allen Cameron Shaq/Arnie Bojan Arnie/Sobhi Bony
Would be nice for Charlie to feature
Edit:
Probs likely - Grant Bardo/Johnson Shawcross Indi Pieters Adam Cameron Shaq/Arnie Allen Arnie/Sobhi Bony

Whelan out. An interesting mid field selection ? Adam and Cameron, unless Geoff is jetlagged. Otherwise, Imbula comes into the mix, possibly pushing Allen into a DM role?

If Carling picked teams Imbula would step up and be "man of the match". Sadly I don't think this will happen. May be he may make the bench and get some time in the second half.

Unless Shaq is fit then it's the same team as last time but Cameron for Whelan.
Genuine question - why do Stoke City fans always want to move players out of positions that they are playing so well in? Allen is on fire for us but people want to put shackles on him. I don't get it.

Looking forward to it. They lost at home to crappy Sunderland. Should be a comfortable win...hopefully

A win should take us into the top half of the table. Our defence is looking tighter and we are starting to score goals.
Bournemouth are a tidy team but not the kind of team to shut up shop and make it hard for us to break down. When we come up against possession based teams we tend to do well at home.
Form book says HOME win
