Put Charlie on Wilshere. He'd shit himself!

Joe Allen played in a deeper role for Wales at the weekend in a 442 alongside Joe Ledley {BBC MoM}. I reckon him and Adam could share the duties, both intelligent players and Adam seems to have found some 'wind'. Adam is pretty quick in bursts, over the short distance and also seems to have calmed the rash tackles. Be interesting to see how we set up without Glenn. Republic of Ireland set up with 4132 with Glenn sitting. Not sure we could pull that off without Whelan. I like the idea of a front two. Bojan +1. Either SJW or Diouf. Grant Johnson Shawcross Bruno Pieters Shaqiri Allen Adam Arnautovic SJW Bojan Adam is quick in bursts lol Is that the burst to help a guy up he's just fouled when he's already on a yellow?

If Whelan is not fit play Allen in that position with Bojan No.10

Assuming Whelan isn't fit
Grant Bardsley Indi Shawcross Pieters Allen Adam Shaqiri Bojan Arnie Bony
Bardsley deserves to keep his place - he's played well this season.
An opportunity for Bojan to claim a regular place in the starting line up. Bournemouth like to play football - so it might be the right game for him to show his stuff.

Allen-Adam Shaqiri-Bojan-Sobhi Arnie Might be an interesting experiment....... Still think we need one of Glenn or GCam to be fit and look to break down Bournemouth's attacks. Arnie could do a job up top, but I would rather see Sparky opt for Diouf and leave the Arnie Experiment until some end-of-season match with nothing riding on it.

Right! That's it. Based on Mugwumps idea, I am officially requesting this line up
Grant Johnson, Shawcross, Indi, Pieters Arnautovic, Allen, Imbula, Ramadan Crouch, Shaqiri
I think Bournemouth wouldn't know what hit them!

Please MH, don't let Walter's anywhere near the bench. Surely we have better options. SJW has been a good servant to the club, but is well past the level required these days. Just the fact he runs around a lot....albeit at a slower pace these days, shouldn't be enough to keep someone younger out of the game. Can't remember the last time he actually took on and beat anyone. Nervy 2.1 to us.

I think it will be a good game , they seem decent and lots of pace and we have more confidence , maybe need Bojan and bony to hit it off well to win if Super joe has to play deeper but hope its an enjoyable game

I'm with Pugs! Got a good feeling about this weekend. My bet is 8th spot will be ours after Saturday. My feeling is whelan Cameron. And possibly even Bony won't play . Regardless the loss of the first two will expose us to a who attacks best game which we will lose , those rejoicing in our recovery will get a very stark reminder we are still in great peril. This type of ill luck at just the wrong time is why you can't afford the start we had , typically they will all be fit for Arsenal Liverpool and Chelsea away but of course will make no difference in those circumstances. , Fully expect us to be back in the dog fight in two games time but hope above anything else it's not the case . Benj, I'm on the train out of Sydney, enjoying this thread until I hit your post and - hold it, this has to be Benj - and hey presto, I look at the poster and it is. It's a bit like hearing an engine and immediately knowing it's a diesel. I get to a post that suddenly is quite worrisome in the middle of good upbeat enthusiasm and, you've guessed it, it's benje on the thread. I'm not sure if you're to be congratulated for staying true to form with your unique style or whether henceforth I will think of you as the rainmaker. Even on days of blue skies, there's Benji pumping out clouds. Cheers from sunny Oz....oh hang on, there's a cloud coming!

This game will be more difficult than our previous home games.but the fact that Bournemouth like to pass it around and play football makes me feel more confident.when games open up at the britt it usually frees up space for our flair players to enjoy themselves.i have just seen the odds and I think 6/5 is very generous(surely we should be odds on given our recent form and table position compared to bournemouth)so I will be backing us with coin

If Glenn and Geoff are definitely out, I wouldn't be surprised if he starts with the same midfield 3 that finished against West Ham.
Bojan in the attacking role ahead of Charlie and Joe. Bojan confident after scoring, and Bournemouth a good team for him to play against.
Seems like Bony is OK, so just a question of whether Shaqiri is fit.
Grant
Bardsley Shawcross BMI Peiters
Adam Allen Bojan
Shaq/Arnie Bony Arnie/Ramadan
Will be a fluid 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1.
Could be a cracking game with goals, but I hope we can score first and win again by a couple of goals. Another 3-1 home win?

Grant
Bardsley Shawcross Indi Pieters
Allen Adam
Shaqiri Bojan Arnie
Bony
I'd stick to as close to the team that has done well for us recently, but we have to be concerned that Wilshere will squirm his way past Allen and Adam, where he would have found Cameron and Whelan a more difficult proposition.
I think it will be a case of having to score more goals than them as we will be vulnerable without Whelan and Cameron as we were earlier in the season. Bournemouth are a better team than recent opposition and were "robbed" by Sunderland. I'm concerned they could do the same to us as did Hull in the LC and we did to ManU. With Allen, Adam, Shaqiri, Arnie, and Bony in the team we need a goal fest.
The game is SOLD OUT.

Do we really know which of the recently walking wounded will make it, or is it down to late fitness tests on the day?
