Who will dive at a corner first Deli or Rose Both at the same time, so the Ref. can choose which one was cheating the least.

Walters, Whelan and 9 others just as it should be for every single game this season. Great 2012 lineup march.

Looks like Danny Rose is unlikely to figure, so that's a bonus.

Given Johnson Shawcross Cameron Pieters Whelan Imbula Allen Walters/Bojan Bony Arnie We can't play Bojan on the right, we just can't. No. Diouf there to help track the spurs LB.

Given Johnson/Bardsley Shawcross Cameron Pieters 2 of Imbula/Whelan/Allen Diouf Bojan Arnautovic Bony
Johnson if finally fit.
Diouf to help Bardsley with their full back.
Imbula can't play in the role just behind the striker, he is not effective there and it's making him look shite, when he's actually very good, he needs to start deeper and make runs with the ball.

Isn't Diouf injured? Possibly 'Shaq' too? Problems on the right side not addressed in the 'window'!

Damn he is yeah I posted that on another thread earlier that he is a doubt.
In that case I'd just quit my job as manager and let Hughes make that tough decision of who to play there.
Sobhi is raw and doesn't look too accustomed to doing more tracking back in a match than attacking, whereas Walters just shouldn't be in that position full stop.
Having said that Walters will probably have to do.

Could potentially be looking at? Given Bardsley Shawcross Cameron Pieters Allen Whelan Diouf or Walters Bojan Arnautovic Bony With hopefully Shaq on the bench with Indi Could get a draw with that team. Disappointed re: no Imbula, but fully understand your reasons for not including. He could get the nod, but I'd fear for the scoreline if he does (have just rewatched the 4-0 thrashing highlights - we were beyond woeful in midfieldl!) Wee Joe could make the difference for us this year if everyone else pulls their weight.

No Jack or Ryan or Johns I suspect. Was the midfield: Whelan, Imbula and Bojan 10??

I hope we create chances for Bonny and not have Miram and SJW on the right wing. I would like to Hughes gamble and play Sobhi on the right and Arnie on the left from the get go. I would drop Imbula and Bojan and play Charlie , Whelan, Allen in the a 4-3-3 and be very direct. I know I will get howled down but Imbula and Bojan have not set the world on fire so far this season.

Ryan and Wolly at CB, Cameron at RB, Given in goal. It'll be interesting to how Sissoko figures for them - and if he turns up, as it were. Wanyama should deputize well for Dembele, but I don't rate him as much.

I rarely log in and post on here but I read it most days. However, some comments have lead me to digging old my old username and resetting my password (no chance of remembering that).
I understand everyone is welcome to an opinion, most of which are wrong by the way..! But I must be watching a different Imbula to everyone else who seems to think he is bang average. When I've watched him he's driven forward most of the time and tracks back well, looks calm on the ball and dare I say it.. a better quality N'Zonzi.
For me, as much as I have a lot of time for Glen, Allen and Imbula are the better players and should start here.
To chuck my two penneth worth in...
Given
Bards Shawcross Cameron Pieters Allen Imbula
Walters/Sobhi Bojan Arnautovic Bony

Glenn for Boj and maybe Charlie for someone else at halftime if we take a first half battering.

Anyone else old enough to remember John Tudor's debut double in front of the old Boothen ??

I don't think Imbula is bang average, I think this season for some one the size of his size he has lost the ball to easily and been indecisive. I would love to seem shoot at will

Big game for Hughes. Lose and we could easily be seven games in to the season without a win (always lose at Palace, V Pulis, At United). He needs to get it right.

Hardly a big game in the manner you're describing. I doubt Spurs, even with CL, will lose more than 5 league games this season. They're a very good team, with an astoundingly good manager. Can't disagree re: Palace and Pulis though. Lose on Sat and they will both be spurred on to inflict even further damage. Win (or draw) this weekend and it'll provide a huge amount of confidence/relief. Spurs will be as tough as Man City, IMO.
