Won't happen, the FA will want another gormless glove puppet.
Whole lot needs disbanding, it's like the Kremlin.

It'll be interesting to see that if he does get it will the selection policy change?
You'd think with it being a manager like him, it would, I have my doubts though.

I'm not sure I even understand the argument against him?
"His style of play isn't right for the national team" - what, playing in a not too pretty manner and getting results is unacceptable in comparison to playing shit and getting beat by the Dog and Duck?
Get him in and let him get on with it.

It's got Graham Taylor mark 2 written all over it but he's probably the best English candidate.

There's a difference between mid table being your glass ceiling, and getting poor sides to mid table. Is Mark Hughes a shit manager too? Or do you taken into account the circumstances and acknowledge he's done a good job? Given better respurces/players, he may do a good job. He certainly can't do any worse.

Rather we go into games with passion and fail gallantly than going out like a wet fart as we have done with Hodgson and the like.......therefore, if it is Sam, he will do for me.

That, for me, is the best decision possible. It has to be an English manager - I don't see how there can be any argument otherwise - and he's the best suited to international football of all of them. How nice it would be to have an organised England team.

Is he better than Hodgson though? Would he lose to Iceland? No Ergo, he's better. You wouldn't have thought we would, but there's no way of knowing. He's the best English option and none of the options scream 'glory'. So I guess it's worth a shot. I don't think it'll make a huge difference though.

Is he better than Hodgson though? I think he'd put a proper system in place and use the players that fit his system and for that alone I think he'd be better.

We'd have clear direction though and the players would undoubtedly understand what is being asked of them. He absolutely can't do any worse than the farce that has been the last 2 major tournaments.

One thing he wouldn't do is pick a squad to play a 442 diamond then shit himself and try and hammer them into a 4231.

The best thing about this happening is that Sunderland seemed on the verge of stability and it will now go tits up.

www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/england/next-permanent-managerThe press are still basically saying nothing's inked in with Sam - and Klinsmann (and others) will be interviewed. And yet Sam is massively odds-on and Jurgen is 10/1. All seems a bit odd. Must say, I'll be delighted if Sam gets a crack at it though. In the absence of any attainable foreign supercoach, he's by far the most deserving English candidate. Still think they're missing a trick in not seriously looking at Hughes (not complaining though!)

Since we've been up Sunderland have never really had that.

Is he better than Hodgson though? Yes. He'll have a plan and every player will know where they fit in that plan. He won't pander to the press and if someone is not performing he'll let them know. He also won't mention feeding the fucking monkey in team talks.
