Hodgson should be sacked after last night. It proved that no matter how superior we are he is incapable of masterminding a tournament victory over a team that isn't a minnow. It is unacceptable that we did not win the match I agree we shouldn't have drawn or lost that match last night but the equaliser was lucky as fuck. Regardless of what happens in this tournament Hodgson will leave and fresh blood will be brought in to the role. Last night's performance was very good overall, but for me he shouldn't have made any substitutions at all considering we were coasting the game. I honestly think we will qualify out of this group regardless but anything less than a victory on Thursday then a third place best finish would be possible.

Woy should not even be in the Job after the world cup, the bloke is an idiot. I don't think we will do much in the euro's. Should have had someone else in a long time ago.

His decision to keep Kane on when we went 1 nil up and not replace him with Vardy was enough to show me he has absolutely no clue at all.

People seem to forget what an embarrassment the world cup was.for England. Should have gone then. Never has had a clue since he has had the job. Yes he might be able to win a few friendly matches but thats it.

I think David Beckham would be an excellent choice as England manager. He always gave 100% as a player for England and how passoinate he is about the country he would be exactly the same as manager. I beleive he would get the best out of anybody who plays for England because he gives his all in everything he does and he would get the england players to do the same David Beckham, as famous an icon as he is, is not a manager for England. He would need to cut his teeth at a club first. Is this the same Beckham who won fuck all in his glittering career with England oh sorry lets not forget is free kick against the mighty Greece. What a fucking joke you might as well give the job to Neville or some other over hyped ex shit player who's done fuck all how about Keane. You need to get a grip pal Beckham my arse maybe we could have his Misses as his assistant, just remind me where is Beckham managing at the moment?

I kept being told there were "encouraging signs of progress" at the World Cup and from some of our supposedly "respected" national journalists too!

Should have walked or been fired after the World Cup debacle. He did manage England to a virtually perfect qualifying campaign for the Euros though, admittedly against weak opposition. He should be fired for having Wilshere anywhere near the squad for one!

Incidentally I saw enough last night to be hopeful of us doing well (in spite of the manager).

IMO he should be sacked if we don't win it (which is highly unlikely) Gouranga. Can't quite work out how he managed to stay in post after the debacle in Brazil.

Just won the Toulon tournament. Knows the players coming through who will make up future England teams. Hodgson has failed at two tournaments so why is he in a job? You don't know who is up to it until they try - all the managers we've given the job to had a 'track record' and all failed. Give it Neville then. he has just won Toulon tournament, fair play. If he goes and manages a club and does well over a sustained period then he ought to be in contention. As for Neville,I don't think a pundit should be the England manager. It should be an actual manager not a rookie. The problem with all the managers in the Prem and even the Championship is that their record is based on managing teams with a mix of a few English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish players and a large number of Spanish/Italian/French/German/Brazilian players. It seems few of these managers are falling over themselves to buy and play English-born players. Give them a choice of English players only and they are on a hiding to nothing as such a group will contain a maximum of four or five (maybe) class players, some above average and many just average. We continue to delude ourselves, year in, year out, that what we see in the Prem is somehow indicative of ENGLISH football, In most cases, the driving forces in Prem teams are the non-English players.

I didn't realise we were out, yesterday might be a blessing in disguise, I think Hodgson will of had enough at the end of the tournament anyway ithout needing to be removed.
Pochettino gets my vote when he does go

Or, failing that, Hairy Potter might not be a bad bet. He's 'passionate'. Or maybe that fat youth with the bell who supports Pompey. David Beckham? What we need is a positive forward-thinking manager who picks players on merit and has a proven track record of getting the very best out of players.

I wonder if the Sun have already prepared an image of a Hodgson-leek hybrid, should the worst happen this week?
What do Slovaks eat? I could imagine him as a cabbage*. Or a beetwoot.
*Don't take that the wrong way.

I think we should accept now that we are unlikely to reach the quarter finals.
Our best hope was a couple of injuries that would force the manager to play Drinkwater and Vardy. Unfortunately the manager has bodged this with his squad selection.
