While I understand why people have that opinion to me it's a lazy stereotype, careerwise in England Benteke has about 30 less goals in 100+ less games and all his have been in the premier league whereas Deeney has played in the championship for much of this time. I'd be absolutely gutted if Stoke paid £25m for Deeney. Like I've said, can you imagine stoke winning the league, about to enter the champions league, and your going for Troy deeney? You'd be gutted. Leicester looking to survive. I'm pretty certain if Stoke won the league and got into the champions league, I wouldn't give a flying if we offered £25m for Rickie Lambert But yes without chasing rainbows there's plenty better out there for the same money.

For sure you need to add depth but next season is a “free” season for you, no danger of going down but also very sensibly your club is only talking of aiming for the top 10. Rather than Deeney i'd spend a bit nore and go for Benteke, Ibe and Berahnio but as I'd like all three here hope you do sign Deeney No danger of going down? Stranger things have happened - like them winning the league! Season after syndrome is something they are vulnerable to. There's always a possibility but Watford, Bournemouth, Burnley, Middlesboro and Hull are without being snobby 5 good reasons they shouldn't worry about being relegated nevermind Swansea and that team whose manager has never managed a top 10 finish.

People might have learnt by now that mocking Leicesters efforts as madness is fraught with folly and a invitation to a real huge portion of humble pie .
Walsh recommended vardy and Mahrez too and they've offered 10m for Keane at Burnley apparently . They get it done early , keep their best players and are an example of how to force the pace in the widow preseason at Leicester Lola lien starting with the new players on the training ground not still playing ducks and drakes with their agents .

Burnley reject £15 million bid (FIFTEEN!!!!) Leicester bid for Keane according to today's Sun (Page 50). Madness!

Talksport were saying this morning he's demanded a meeting with the bosses at Watford to try and push through a move so he can play Champions League football. Troy Deeney...in the champions league...there is hope for us all.

If Deeney is worth 30 million it begs the question, how much would Andy Cooke be worth in today's climate?

I think these are smart moves , they are players with something to prove Deeney for them is a Ulloa upgrade and Keane a different agr to the two centre halves they are taking positive action to address the gaps in their squad , strong characters and keeping their best players only envious glances from this poster and the positive approach .
Clearly aiming to have the squid in place for July I think the real madness will come when people throw money in desperation later I the window fess might not be as high but not what they really need .

There's 3 transfers there that look fair prices. It really is ridiculous what being English does for your value.
I like Carroll, Sterling, Shaw (he could be the fourth if he stays fit), Milner and Bent was a good Premier League goalscorer but my word their fees are ludicrous.

Deeney is an insane signing at £30m better than Ulloa but £20m+ better no way, as for keeping their best places, it's clear all the big clubs are after Pogba and only one can get him so then some will come for Kante.
