A response from the top at last according to the Sentinel. Our club hierarchy are confident he isn't about to go anywhere soon. Good things (ie cash I suppose), are coming his way in the summer.
Pardon my ignorance on this one but who are our 'Hierarchy'. Apart from the Coated one. Positive mutterings anyway.

Please no, We now have to continue watching boring boring tippy tappy useless football with no end product other than losing possession. No passion, no pace and just an inevitable decline Recent events have brought to the fore considerable dissenters to Mr Hughes reign, so unless he addresses the poor defence and method if play that list will grow until he goes

I'll be pleased if he stays. Let's hope he is given adequate funds for the players we need. It will be a year late, but still. ...

He mentioned "personnel" last week, hopefully we'll see an influx the players to get us back to the good, attacking football he produced in his first two seasons.

Basically implying you never wanted him here in the first place so wait for the first sign of things going wrong before showing your cards. Why did you not express your doubts when we were winning ?

Give him the summer to come up with the goods, spend what's coming his way sensibly and turn out a team which inherently isn't broken but needs the fixing bit applied to it.
I'll get to the link before I head off to work.

I think the recent run of woeful results combined with inconsistent performances by players with ensure that Hughes and the likes of Arnie and Shaq will be here next season.

I don't see it ahppening, but if Hughes did go, would we not sign Martinez as his replacement? I seem to remember a number of people having the Catalan at the top of their list before Hughes came in.

I'd have been well chuffed it Martinez had turned up at the time. Not that he was my first choice. That was McClaren.

Guilty Yeh, I had Benitez as first choice and if not...Martinez before Hughes Glad we didn't get Martinez now This time I thought Moyes would be a good replacement for Hughes. On reflection, I don't think he would be the right choice for us either.
