5 different CB partnerships this season in the PL alone. Can't be ideal.

I know that if Wilson had been involved in a couple of incidents a certain other defender has been in recent weeks, words like 'immense' would not have been thrown his way! Oh yes Soarky didn't sign Wilson did he :-)

bayern counts the one at Southampton that the ref didn't give, he spent a week analysing it whilst most of us were just celebrating a superb away win and clean sheet..... "Wollscheid" and "Southampton", bring back some rather more recent painful memories! Hanging him out to dry on that Southampton and Blackburn performances again I see Still he's probably played around 70 games ? But that performance is always brought up No mention of other players having poor games which they've all had ....nope lets slaughter Wolscheid

Words like 'immense', 'world class' and 'stunning' are just fantasy island stuff though. As ever we have two polar opposite opinions on here. Neither of which is accurate!

You may well be correct mate as its all opinions but he hardly calamitous or a liability either ....( other words that have been used ) I'll say it again though about the vitriol he gets ...it's all because people think he replaced Robert Huth ( which he didn't ) ...no more no less

Can't be arsed to read the thread as I suspect the usual suspects will be pushing their agendas - however, Wollscheid has shown himself to be a very good centre half and impresses me every game. So much so I would have him in contention for my player of the season nomination. Long may it continue.

I was defending Wollschied back in July/August, mainly against Bayern. I wasn't saying Wollschied was a great player, I was saying he wasn't as bad as he was being made out to be.Wollschied has the potential to be a great player, playing along side Ryan. They would complement each other. Ryan is a better defender than Wolly but Wolly can distribute the ball better. None of our players are perfect but it appears that Wollschied will have to be, before some of this silly criticism stops.

Can't afford to be without him. Class act all round. Player makes non-error shock horror. Questionable response maybe in the moment but let's move on for gods sake. Roll Liverpool over and enjoy the ride. Been telling myself this since 1968, we will win.

I can forgive the odd mistake as I do with all the other players , his distribution is better than any other defender possibly with the exception of Johnson

He just needs to stop making mistakes. Simple as. bayern's ideal back 4... Poor positioning from no. 5, should be goal side of the bloke behind him.... mistake waiting to happen.
