And none lead to a goal, that's what matters. Afellay was poor all second half imo. Arnie wasn't in it after that injury he got in the first half. Bojan was class. Why he was subbed I do not know. By that point Hughes would have been well within his rights to have taken anyone of affelay, bojan, imbula or joselu off. Those 4, more than anyone were culpable for yesterdays collapse as for different reasons they all went missing. Can't agree about Bojan. He never stopped trying and for me was out only outlet still working. The rest though I agree.

Not sure what Bojan and Arnie wasted??? They fucked up countless situations in the first half alone which could and should have delivered goalscoring opportunities. I don't think they did overly.

For me affelay simply "hit the wall". He was knackered, maybe the same with bojan.

He was MOM until that pass. You can say what you want about him but it's another mistake that has lead to another goal. It's what he does. His reaction to it being the worst bit. He was class though other than that one really shit moment. Hardly a mistake was it? It was a decent interception. You've got your sniper out again now we haven't won.

Loads of easy passes on that was better for the game management and still would allow the counter.

How Joselu, Affelay and Imbula stayed on that pitch I do not know. Bojan had stopped working and was stood still. He looked like he'd tired and there is an obvious desire to protect him. My first sub would have been diouf for joselu and see how that impacted the game. After that, Ireland for bojan and Adam for imbula would have made perfect sense.

Imbula I would have been tempted to hook at half time for Adam. Agree re Diouf.

He was excellent. The only bad thing about him at the moment is that it's somehow become acceptable to sing Achy Breaky Heart at football. I can cope with the song but I'm struggling with the comparison to Zidane to be honest. me too... "he runs like my gran" far more appropriate.

What a dreadful game that was though, Real did a real job on them and nullified Messi beautifully.

Bloody hell OP, were you stroking your gentlemen's sausage while typing that?
Wolly was bang average, bardsley on the other hand was immense. Best performance in a stoke shirt since joining and it went unnoticed on here. smh.

Oh come on; share it. Not all of us are such expert analysts in football that we pick it up. For example not many of us are capable of spotting that a goal is a nailed on mistake by a player when several phases are of play follow alleged mistake. We just aren't in your league so come on don't be mean and share your Imbula positioning masterclass. The lads will all be greatful. Edit I see you have. Im going to study and learn.

Just 2 clean sheets since Boxing Day and we're supposed to believe we've got the bastard child of Tony Adams and Franz Beckenbauer on our hands.

Maybe if our wide men had gone wide and tried to run fast when he was coming out he would have had better options, there was about 3 players 10 yards in front of him all together limiting the options, at least he was moving forward and not turning back to play it to the keeper ready for a 70 yard aimless punt up to crouch.

Harsh almost for the sake of it Bayern. Accept that's your view. I won't be changing that. But don't understand why you're making so much of that pass in the ebb and flow of a game. I havn't seen the replay, so I might see summat I missed, there was no blame on W. for me. He tried to clear the lines whilst we seemed intent on sitting back. He sent it down the left, but it hit 'whoevers' elbow and they fashioned a quick response. Counter attack. You've set the bar way too high, too soon. And are putting it about that he always 'fucks up'. I reckon you're stretching it to suggest he dropped a bollock today. Worst of it is you're putting ground bait out for the Carpslayer. We had a counter on and he fucked that up with the Brucie bonus of it leading to them catching is with 4? players downfield including the centre half who is bollocking someone and not getting back after he's lost the ball. It was a mistake. Not getting back after he lost the ball? You should be above making things up to try and benefit your warped opinions. He briefly appealed for handball and then got back goal side of the ball immediately. The ball actually deflected off him to wrong-foot the keeper. Plenty of players misplace passes - some do it several times a game. It doesn't constitute a major screw-up to do it 50-odd yards from your own goal.

I honestly didn't think he did but it wasn't a brief appeal. He should have got back immediately and he wasted time, indeed if he had done so he probably would have intercepted it. It does if it leads to a goal. So that's another one on him. It happens far too often.
