I didn't think it was a particularly shit moment or any sort of fuck up. Wouldn't swap him for anyone I've seen this season at the back. A rangy ball that was met by the elbow of the retreating oppo. Can't see how we'll ever do better than Wolly. Embrace the jazz hands. He messed a simple pass up that lead to a goal and then instead of getting back he berated the ref??? It was poor. But that's Wolly. Just watched it back he literally put his hand up to appeal for handball and then ran back into position. Massive exaggeration yet again

Massive exaggeration yet again He starts waving them, stops then puts his hand and then starts getting back. Shearer thought he made a mistake and the replays didn't make it look any less of a one. He had a 5 yard pass on sidewards to someone, it was bad game management and was punished. Hughes was right though, it should have been ruled out for offside.

You do like him though don't you? Can't see us upgrading from him in summer. He'll be what Hughes bases the defence around. And Wollscheid's improving from what was already a competent start. Scoring the odd header off a corner and he's complete for me. Why do you think Ryan is finished ? scoring remind me again how many has he scored since he came here ? Neither of us have the prognosis. Obviously we want a fit Ryan. We havn't though. Just saying, be great to see him nod one in. Why wouldn't you want that?

He was MOM until that pass. You can say what you want about him but it's another mistake that has lead to another goal. It's what he does. His reaction to it being the worst bit. He was class though other than that one really shit moment. Agenda, agenda, agenda ? It didn't lead directly to a shot on goal, it should have been handball, they had to build up play, we could have stopped it earlier, and what about Cameron being 5 yards too deep and not getting tight in the scorer, and then an offside not given?

Looks like he's been on a bojan/muni gym routine too, looks much stronger, and put sigi (I think) on his arse from a shoulder barge.
Dare I say it, he looked quicker too.

Just seen that goal and I'm with you. He lost posession with a poor pass near the half way line. It was a mistake, but it wasn't a major one. To suggest, as Bayern has said, that it lead to the goal is just pure mince. What lead to the goal was the subsequent defending in the final third. That said, that wasn't all that bad. The attacker crested space for himself then got a shot off quickly and benefited from a deflection.

I'm not sure what all the gushing praise is for. Yes he was okay today but unfortunately he made another mistake trying a stupid chipped pass when he had 3 simple passes on. He eventually strolls back to his position and turns his back like a fanny so he can't see the ball and of course it hits his leg and goes in.

I thought the same about his attempt at blocking the shot if you can call it that. Any defender worth his salt would have flung everything in the way of that and not turn their back and stick a limp ankle out. Very poor.

He was never dreadful He just wasn't Robert Huth He really was dreadful. He was all over the place defensively. Not now though. He had a man of the match performance in his first (maybe second) game.

Wollshied has been brilliant all season, easily wins player of the season for me. Slowly more & more people are finally seeing the light, but of course we've got a couple of posters who're sitting in China right now 'cos they've dug a hole so deep, so they'll keep looking for anything they can to try & prove themselves right.

You've actually given Wollscheid a little bit of praise tonight, but it's through the grittiest of gritted teeth and also hidden behind more critiscm for a player who has been, without any doubt whatsoever, our best defender all season. It's not at all. I really enjoyed watching him today, I love good defending and he was real classy, it was ace. But then he's made another fuck up that's lead to another goal. Quite a bit happened in between him giving the ball away, possibly for the only time of the game, and then scoring, including a handball, a wicked, lucky deflection and a clear offside

Better players than wooly fucked up far simpler passes than his including bojan, Arnie and affelay who had the craziest of crazy 5 minutes either side of their opening goal.

Bayern I've watched it again this morning and yes you're right he does give the ball away needlessly but there's still a lot to do for them to score from that.Mistakes happen all over the pitch and Wollschied does seem to get punished for his just like Wilson does but apart from that I thought he player very well yesterday

By that point Hughes would have been well within his rights to have taken anyone of affelay, bojan, imbula or joselu off. Those 4, more than anyone were culpable for yesterdays collapse as for different reasons they all went missing.

Not sure what Bojan and Arnie wasted??? They fucked up countless situations in the first half alone which could and should have delivered goalscoring opportunities.
