Pleased to see Drinkwater called up, deserves it.
Don't get the Henderson thing. Or Walcott. Or Cahill.
Otherwise not a lot to quibble with really.

Oh so it was a metaphorical dance? Don't really see or hear that many people wearing their dislike of the England team as a "badge of honour" either if I'm honest. Sid replied to the OP and brought the whole anti-England sentiment up and people are commenting accordingly.. Yes. Obviously. If you're not bothered about something, isn't it counter-intuitive to go to the effort of opening the thread and then posting on that thread to tell everyone how incredibly not bothered you are about it? Wouldn't the committed apathist just, you know, not bother opening or replying to the thread in the first place? sid made a comment I responded, it's a forum for people to comment. Why you're getting your knickers in a knot God only knows...........

Seems odd people should want to use it to express a lack of opinion. But each to their own. I wasn't even singling you out, but you, as an ice-cool, not bothered sort, obviously chose to take offence.

To be fair that's about right although Walcott and Welbeck have been a bit below par this season

That's just cemented what we already know, and that is we've got a worryingly small pool of defenders and wingers to pick from.
If Walcott or Sterling get injured then it's Welbeck out wide.

My comment was pretty simple mick. Yes it's too soon for Shawcross to be considered and no he wouldn't have been picked anyway. Nothing anti-English in that whatsoever or is it whinging, sid then commented about people coming on "hoping England get dicked" so I have absolutely no idea what you are going on about?

Walcott in the squad? My god it's laughable. Surely Antonio has been in better form of late and deserves a call up. I fucking hate Roy Hodgson.

Hi everyone, just want you to know I don't care about this! If you were asked directly about it I could understand. If they were to go out of their way to contribute to a discussion they weren't interested in it's just a bit weird. I wasn't so much directing it at you as the various posters who do this every time there's an England thread. You seem to be particularly prickly about it though, which is funny given your 'indifference'. As I said, each to their own.

Bizarre logic but we'll leave it at that......

He's picked the best available. So let's get behind them. Not supporting a team because you don't like the manager is pathetic.

In my opinion,if you are a football fan born in England then that automatically makes you a fan of the English national team, I don't understand how it doesn't. I here what you're saying and that's fair enough, each to their own and all that but I just don't get all the England hatred (I know you haven't said that but plenty of other do). Again, in my opinion I believe that a lot of the anti England stuff that gets bandied about on here is all down to the manager not picking Ryan Shawcross, which again I find stupid. Should Ryan have had more chances for England? Yes he should, but that shouldn't stop an England fan from supporting his national team, should it? Hodgson is a useless sack of clown juice but again that's not an excuse for an England fan to not support his national team in my opinion. My passion for the England team has diminished slightly over the years but they get my full support when they play regardless of who the manager is or who is on the pitch and I will never understand how any English born football fan could ever want us to lose,it's not right. So, someone born in India (like Colin Cowdrey) for example, should have supported (and played for?) the Indian Cricket team because he was born in India? Or the child of the Russian Ambassador to Britain should support England if he or she happens to have been born in London whilst his/her parents where working here? Well, its a point of view I suppose, but not one I share. I knew some pedant might pick up on that statement. Ok let me rephrase.... If you are English and a football fan then that automatically means you're an England fan in my opinion. Even if someone English has other reasons for supporting another country it's still not right to want your country of birth to fail, that was my point but I'm pretty sure you already knew that.

Had a good season doing the very functional things he does of course but England? Really? I thought it was only West ham fans suggesting this.
