I wish he wouldn't go into the "pain and anguish" when he misses a "sitter".
Like the great strikers he just should just apologize to his colleagues and get on with the match.

Played very well despite the misses (as others have said you have to get there in the first place), shame he didn't celebrate properly with the rest of the lads after we got a hard-fought late equaliser against that despicable team though...maybe he felt he didn't deserve it after his misses? I get the feeling he is too hard on himself. I think he was remembering his mum. His first goal since she passed away I believe. Ah, my bad, well that would be completely understandable then.

By far and away our best option up front. Anyone who disagrees is a penis. A massive, slithering penis. Its comments like this that make me an Oatcacke follower - brilliant!

Overall with the strikers we have, Walters is limited to being, well, Walters, which is very useful at times. Crouch is not quick enough for most people's tastes, then we have Diouf and Joselu, neither of whom are given enough starts and enough time.
Time to commit I think, probably to Diouf, Joselu as replacement striker and Walters as a spare wide player. Crouch may be a luxury bench player (although I still rate him).

He was dire in the 1st half, thought he cost us 3 points but then won 1 back. Didn't really see him much in the 2nd half until Bojan came on what a difference skill makes. He then heads into an open goal and everyone says he's magic!!!! We are just short of a top class striker, even the commentator said the same. I feel for Diouf to play he must be awesome in training and you could see the 'love' Dave Bowen has for him. What a load of horseshit We were excellent 1st half because of him and his link up play ....see past his two missed chances ffs

He linked up play. His first touch was actually really good. He stretched the play. He got in good positions. He never hid. And it's no surprise that Afellay put in his best attacking performance because he had more room and space because of what Diouf did. It was excellent and we've missed it all season.

I thought he did well first half but should have put one of the two chances away.
Afellay's outside of the foot pass for the first was sublime

He's a good lad, probably just gone off the boil a bit after going through a bad time personally? He's actually a very good footballer who I would imagine is a bit of a nightmare to mark ( like Ric was). There's clearly a lot of affection for him at the club too - he got some serious cuddles off the bench when he was subbed!

It hurts me to criticise a stoke player but honestly, I cannot believe the amount of praise diouf is getting on this thread. Yes, he is a grafter. I'll give him that. But he has all the guile of a 3 legged pig. He's a donkey, simple as that. My 6 month old daughter has better coordination, both of his first half sitters hit his shin! Fuck me for 40 grand a week you've got to connect with one of those at least. Joselu and Walters are far better options. I cannot believe Joselu hasn't had more of a look in at Stoke, he hasn't really put a foot wrong from what we have seen and complements the players around him so well. He would easily be my number 1 striker at the minute.

He's one of them that will miss a a few chances but needs a run of games to hit form. If we stick with him to the end of the season I'm sure he'll bag about 5 more goals.

Everyone keeps banging on about his missed chances first half. I don't think there are very many strikers around that could have made up the ground to miss the first chance. He gets into the positions to miss by his constant movement and pace and he was rewarded with a decent goal. Delighted for the lad.

That's Diouf who averages a goal every 3 games and has spent pretty much his whole career at championship level and above whereas former Chester striker Walters averages a goal every 5 games even in the lower leagues and please don't give me the wing argument the reason he has not played regularly up front all his career is he is just not good enough.

Like what has already been said, see past his 2 misses! were you calling him a donkey when he scored? he links up play so well and creates space for others to thrive and a good run of games could see him score a few important goals for us which we know he can do(15 last season)! against the Toon, Walters wasn't that good, yes he tries but it was plain to see he wasn't the answer! Joselu is too hit and miss and will probably improve come next season! is he the answer up front...probably not but he is certainly better than anything we have on the bench when given a decent run in the team!

Don't let's get into a batter Walters to justify Diouf argument. Just hammer the knob slagging Diouf. Both players have been great servants of SCFC and hopefully will continue to be. Foals is being a massive slithering penis.
