We had him on trial for a few months and still signed him.
He's the worst player I've watched for the U21s/reserves by far.
How he ever got a contract I do not know.

I can only believe signing him was a "favour" - maybe he was meant to be moved on to majority Brazilian owned Orlando before now, but the move could not happen for some reason?

The one consistent factor is Hughes, he had him at Man City and had him on trial for months here. And it must have been the best job interview ever or they just made a massive mistake.

If not that, nothing else makes sense, as he is so below Premier League standard it truly beggars belief that we signed him - another Ali Dia!!

He just looked like he won a competition to win a contract. Let's hope we get some money for him or Cyle Larin on loan for a few months after Christmas!

Tex and Haugard really do make you wonder if someone, somewhere is enjoying a cocktail in an exclusive resort, puffing on a cigar and chuckling to themselves thinking "I could sell snow to the eskimos and sand to an Arab".

Haugaard looked decent in the friendlies but yes you're right, When he signed I questioned his pedigree and then looked at what keepers MH has signed in his career and it made horrible reading. I'll try and find them.

Bachmann is nowhere near good enough to be relied upon yet. Ditto Eve. It's fair to say Hughes' record with signing 'keeper is "interesting". Jason Brown Gunnar Nielsen (twice) Shay Given (but to replace Hart) Stuart Taylor Rob Green Julio Cesar None of them are good signings imo but I would take Given now.

Another one to file under, 'trying to be too clever by half' Who the fuck scouted this one, Carto? Think this one was one that Mark and his team knew about. Unbelievably, they had him on trial at one of their previous clubs (Man City I think). To be honest he has form in signing players he has had on loan/ trial who did not impress.

Is he off the books though? We're probably paying him to play for Orlando
Kaka has a Brazilian mate to talk to I guess that can be the only reason

I love Johnny.
He's the reason that (even at the age of 42 with the ball skills of a one legged camel) I wonder if the bloke walking his dog around the pitch on Sunday morning might just be a scout......

He's signing for Orlando when the window opens, it must be true as it's in the Sentivale.
