I'm just fed up of fans who say, "he was great today, but he's shit". Total mind bending bollocks. It's like, "I'm not racist, but......" Who's said he's shit? Your exact words were: "I don't think he's anywhere near good enough to be a premiership footballer. I just dunna rate him." And... "I'm happy for him get some credit though." ?!?!?

Hysteria?? On here?? Never !!!! He plays like a competition winner. Dreadful footballer. harsh. The guy is 5th choice centre back and come on yesterday to do a job and did it well despite it being his debut and having no premiership match experience. Even the best players need games. Who do you expect to come to stoke as 5th choice, an 8 million pound signing?

A few cameo left back appearances for the first team and he's written off as shit. Like someone else has said I'd too like to see what he could do in a settled defence next to shawcross maybe for the last few games of the season if we have little to play for, if not defiantly pre season

Possibly but if there was a shining light in the U21's he'd know about it & after three 3-0 defeats and a defensive crisis I think they would be on the bench myself. He probably isn't maldini but yesterday he did a job in a premiership match under difficult circumstances and that is what he is employed to do, he'll probably get one more game all season. I've played football aswell and it's not easy to get into a pace of a game as a sub either. I bet there is a few players out there that would of conveniently missed that shot he put his head too

Nope. But that's pretty much how football works. And how our manager works.

The defenders in the 21s aren't the best but it's an area that needed addressing and they didn't.

Your exact words were: "I don't think he's anywhere near good enough to be a premiership footballer. I just dunna rate him." And... "I'm happy for him get some credit though." ?!?!? Thanks for that I thought I was going mad. So I didn't actually say he was shit then? There's a huge difference between not being prem standard and being shit. The lad will find his level and be a decent championship player for someone

All I wanted to do was congratulate him for doing well in a pressure situation when he hadn't had much game time - not start world war sodding three!

He was on the bench because of the injury crisis. He wouldn't play normally. When everyone's fit again he probably won't play again.
But he did a job yesterday and that should be applauded.

I'd seen Tex play in position at CB a handful of times in the U21's and I wasn't convinced he could make the grade. I said as much on here and I admit to being worried when he came on yesterday. The lad took his chance though and did a very professional job with little display of nerves. As said earlier, it was the sort of performance from the bench you would want from a good squad player. Well done Tex you mighty Potter!
Just let's remember, though, that it was one adrenaline fuelled performance with his team mates fully aware of his inexperience. Perhaps best not to go overboard with the conclusions and set the lad up to fail.

At 23 if he hasn't made an impression already I doubt he ever will however he could be a handful in League 1/Championship he certainly has the frame for it.

You might have watched him bayern, but you seem to hate every single footballer on the planet. Everybody's shit according to you, so while you might have watched him more than anyone else here has, your opinion's not going to hold too much weight with your track record of writing virtually every player off. Sorry for being a bit blunt but that's the top and bottom of it.

Sorry for being a bit blunt but that's the top and bottom of it. Not at all. There was 10 other players on our side that were much better and could actually kick a football and they had 11 of them. And I don't right off every player that's just lazy bullshit! And most that I do are shite, so I'm happy with that. You've only got to watch him to see how utterly fucking dreadful he is. It really is obvious. EDIT-and I have an excellent eye for defenders.
