Arnie was very poor in his first season, his shooting was diabolical, his attitude wasn't the best, yeah he had some decent games, but so has shaq. If you haven't already done so, you should watch the 2013/14 Season DVD. You'll be surprised at the contribution Arnie made. I was just about to post the same thing :-)

No offense to Diouf and i really don't think it's his fault but could Moha have done any worse? It's just my opinion but i'd rather we played a familiar system with 1 raw talented youngster and everyone else in positions they're familiar with and want to play instead of playing 3 out of 4 attacking players in positions they're ineffective in Only 1 of Walters, Diouf or Joselu should be on the pitch at a time and only ever upfront He can't get in the u21 side!

Shaq is really struggling to show his full array of talents. I can't believe he isn't the real deal. One wonders why he didn't perform at his last club and whether the issue (if there is one) is still evident at SCFC.

Shaqiri is phenomenally talented. Not in doubt. If he didn't have a flaw he wouldn't be anywhere near Stoke. His flaw is consistency. We can have less talented players who deliver every week or the Swiss Messi Does'nt Messi take people on though whilst running at goal at any opportunity?

What we need to do is get more men breaking forward more from midfield when Shaq has the ball, he's normally doubled up on leaving space somewhere that can be exploited, this is what isn't happening very often. You can't score many goals when there are only 2 attacking players being marked by 7 defenders

If we hadn´t Shaq, we wouldn´t have won against ManCity and Everton.
What is Shaqiri offering?
What a stupid question.

So that's 2 performances out of around 17 which you could expect your bog standard right winger to put in. For sure, he has offered "something" but it's a bit less than we were all expecting; not to say, there is not a lot more to come.

Do you think our expectations have risen dramatically over the last couple of seasons? If we had signed Shaq a couple of years ago (bear with me) we would be drooling over him without question. As it is we have had the pleasure of seeing first Bojan bring his Spanish flair and trickery, followed up by Arnie with his skills, strength and link up play with Bojan.... Perhaps we have been gorging on the "steak" so much that when presented with a top quality cut we've just become expectant that it comes with extra sauce and thrice cooked chips as standard.

To me all the evidence is that Shaq has still not adapted to conditions in PL and England. As with our other imports, he needs at least half a season to get up to speed. In his case his progress has been interrupted by internationals and persistent hamstring problems. I am now forming a view that MH did not get his teams to practice much. Maybe someone who knows more about the club policy could comment? I'm basing this opinion on what appears to be regular miss-understandings between players and our poor performance at set piece play. In Shaq's case, he has developed an understanding with Arni, who was missed on Saturday, but he does not seem to have struck up the same understanding with other players. My conclusion is that MH does not want to leave all the "performance" on the training pitch and keep plenty "in the tank" for the second half of the season. Does anyone else concur or am I just writing twaddle?
