With the transfer window looming and the press starting to hype up Mark Hughes a dour 0-0 would be perfect.
Too much success at this level for a club like us will be our downfall.

Would happily take a 0-0 and save all our goals for West Brom on Saturday, it's about time we gave Pulis a right stuffing. Everton are a very good team (on their day) much like us, keep them quiet for the first 20-30 minutes then I think we can get something.

Cameron has to feature... He's that important to the midfield battle... If he's unable, I'd start Adam, then MVG. Anyone who think otherwise hasn't seen the Man City and Man Utd matches... I'd be worried if he isn't fit. Everton have a decent midfield and that's where the war is won in these type of matches this time of year. I hope we see Whelan deep and Cameron just in front of him. That lineup will win us matches and has already this season. They've got Gareth Barry in midfield so it cant be that good. We'll win today! We are stronge run midfield and defence than Everton. Adam should not start, he was so far off the pace on Saturday. If Cameron and Whelan are out then Van G and Afellay are good for me

I'm not so sure that we'll play our strongest side against the West Brazilians with the League Cup semi just a few days later.

I'd be tempted to rest the likes Bojan and Shaqiri and keep them all wrapped in order to unleash them on Saturday against West Brom, I still can't believe how awful they were and we had 9 men and deserved at least a point.

Everton find it difficult to beat anyone outside the bottom half, naturally it means we'll be the ones to buck that trend and lose 4-0

I'm surprised its the same team. Expected the side to be juggled around a bit, particularly among the forward players

Cameron ok then. Good news.
Wondered if we might have rested one or two today. Guess we'll use at least one of the cup games for that.

4-3-3 unchanged
Put Ryan on Lukaku all game and put him in his big back pocket thank you. Ryan loves those kind of physical battles

Not pleases with this team. I wanted diouf. Players aernt gonna have great energy which is essential to this formation. But it's probably a defensive tactic with the midfield players.

Draw will do me. Win would be great but Everton are a good side and this is a tough game so would not be too surprised if we lost. There...I've covered all eventualities now.

Wonder if Woy will be there.....he can drool over the marvellous English talent of Berkley and Stones and then just close his eyes when it comes to Shawcross.

Why are people surprised that we are not resting players at the peak of their physical powers, who train every day of the week almost? They are not wilting flowers!
