Needs games. Bojan was much worse today, but he won't get his own thread. I thought bojan was our best player apart from jb

From the look of him yesterday there'll be no one more disappointed than Mama, he looks hungry and desperate to resurrect the goal habit. I rate Mama, he's had a disrupted season so far, he started the season like he'd ended the last, something like one goal in two games, on course for the mystical 20 goal striker. My admiration for him was cemented with that stoic Cup display against Chelsea. His movement and endeavour is superb, he pulls defences apart, with our more fluid football that should reap rewards. Not sure how things will pan out with the advent of the 4-3-3, but if Diouf does get a run he could well turn out to be like a new signing in the New Year, have the Odemwingie effect from a couple of years back. Anyone having doubts ought have a look at the youtube thing of his goals last season as a reminder. Mint. He can score the spectacular, the scrappy, and the lucky rebound etc. He's got the lot when he's in the groove. Scoring goals is the hardest thing in nogger, given game time in a system that suits then I reckon Diouf is very very good at it. Top bloke, brilliant attitude, brilliant player. He cost nowt, we could make millions on him eventually. Bang on!

Very poor finishing cost us 3 points today. How diouf ain't scored I don't know Got to be clinical mate, Diouf on the one on one has to go near post as Adrian was always going to his right but he always hits it straight at the keeper! Piss poor at times.

To similar to Walters in front of goal....hit or miss...all this about him being rusty is an excuse and he should have a run and he will get better, but you could say that about all the players not in the team at the moment.....it's a squad game and you have to come on and impress and you will be rewarded under Hughes as others have....come on no miss two sitters, you will not get a run in the team.....and you shouldn't expect one either.........

Weren't the majority of Wham's attempts yesterday dreadful 30 yard shots that flew into the crowd?
Whereas the best chance of the game was MVG's chickening out in the first half and because he made no contact with the ball, it doesn't count as an attempt.

Win by a hat-full!! Yeah right. Either side could have nicked it TBF. Thought it pretty entertaining and even overall but the best chances fell to the wrong players on both sides. Got to be happy with a point, given 5 starters missing and your good form. I'm going with this. I enjoyed the game. A point is never bad away from home particularly if it's backed up with a win next week. I thought West Ham's injuries would help shade it for us but they put a shift in as did we. Decent day out.

Diouf's return was a breath of fresh air. He immediately made the kind of runs that open up defences and that was why we had those two decent chances. No Diouf and there wouldn't have been those chances to even discuss. First game in a while, same situations next week he'll bury one of them.

Diouf can regularly hit 12-15 league goals a season. Last season he hit 9 league goals in 28 starts that's roughly one in three. When you consider he was away at ACoN and shoved out on the wing for 5-6 games, it's a pretty good return.
I can't understand MH's reluctance to play him, he drops him at the first opportunity. He just needs a regular run of 5-6 games to build his confidence

Austin, I was against signing another striker tbh but as the season has gone on there is no clear option that will score regularly, I don't think Diouf is the answer, yes he got double figures last season but so did Walters and he's not the answer either (although I would have backed him to score one of the chances Diouf had yesterday).

You're right, but a point isn't so bad considering their chances. I've never said it isn't although our chances were better and I thought we probably should have won. Still a decent point but it's chances and games like that if we want to go next level (which we do) then we need to take those chances. Hughes will know that. You're not wrong but you are ignoring the fact you need to defend well and keep clean sheets regularly if you want to go to the next level and I don't think I need to tell you how that side of things is going.

SJW ran around in circles and Diouf created himself two decent chances from intelligent runs. He also ran the length of the pitch to the right back position to cover for Glen Johnson at one point.... and won the tackle. I had my doubts about Diouf at first, now I fucking love him.

He did, one came on to play wide, he created nothing, Arnie put in the pass of the game for him to simply run onto and burry it, he fluffed it, fine as back up but we need better, a striker that can take those chances.

I don't want to state the bleeding obvious but Vardy is being touted around at £25m. Where do you suggest we find this upgrade on Diouf?

Great video once again, Elliot! What's the first song being sung at half time btw? I don't think there was any words for the first one, just "Der, der, der"! The one after is the "if you don't bounce you're fucking Vale".

Just watched MOTD2 highlights. They showed Arni's free kick that was deflected onto the bar, the rest was WHU's near misses. None of Stoke's other near misses were shown. Extremely biased view of the match that suggested WHU dominated.
