Shaq got him back later though, Otamendi was asking the ref to book him

Forget that, I'm wondering why he tried to burst Delph's head. 'twas merely a condescending pat on the shiner, Delph seems a bit put out! I'd seen the first one but not the second one. My coverage cut off as soon as the whistle went. He's a mad bugger!

City! There's only one City! Watching the game in a bar in Thailand in my stripes and at half time a Manc came in, saw me and asked the score, when I told him stoke 2 -0 up he asked if "Citeh" were playing shite, " No...Far from it...We are playing awesome, that's why we are 2-0 up" They have caught the United arrogance from there neighbours, they think that they have exclusivity on being called City....Twats...The lot of em... I bet he looked dropjaw gormless for an age before he got that. The tools on the beeb were at it as well over the weekend. Worth a complaint if I get chance next week.

He shouted at them "Despite being rivals I respect your contribution to culture. Joy Division remain an iconic piece of history and the late 80s early 90s thing wasn't too shabby either. But 808 state could be tedious"
That is what he said.

But 808 state could be tedious" I would concur. Apart from Pacific 202 and a few tracks like Cubik and Olympic, not easy listening. And there was that godawful collaboration with a rapper. Newbuild was a good album - raw, fresh, techy and acidic.

Surely if that was indeed the case he would have mentioned The Buzzcocks, Magazine, The Fall, John Cooper Clarke and the first two James singles too.

A bit of frustration at the fact he was getting tortured by Shak. Should have been a booking but I dont get the knicker-wetting. It was nothing we havent seen our lads dish out on occasions. Cheap shot, but hardly a full on assault worthy of its own thread. Having said that, it would appear on yesterdays performance that theyve vastly overpaid for a player not fit to lace the boots of our own majestic center-backs

He was that inconsistent that he got picked for England after playing only 7 games for Stoke , and went on to rip Leeds Utd to bits and Birmingham away to name a few, the problem with chambo was his hamstrings and his awfull decision to join Sheff weds and Howard wilkinson

Can anyone make a little clip of this?
It was first half, I think, ball came into the little fella when he wasn't really in a position to receive it. Man City defender was close and a hard challenge looked inevitable. However, the little wizard flicked it up in the air over the defenders head and controlled it when it came down before passing.
Would love to see it again.

Red all day long, you simply can't boot someone like that, in saying that it was the closest he got to him all day.

There was also that back heel to Arnie that set up Shaq for his miss near the end. That was sublime.

Shaq did that at one point, near the half way line. Don't remember Bojan doing it.

The days of sports journalists sitting in the press box actually watching the game and reporting what actually happened are long gone it would seem

That was a great watch, pity this type of story does not get more mainstream airtime. A few good recent articles on Coates, Shaq and Stoke in general in the times and telegraph, ( and the Mail!) over the last few weeks that have captured the real story and not the lazy shite you usually get. PS Crooks continues to betray his roots though! On final score yesterday the host said to Crooks, let's talk about Stoke and Crooks said no and changed the subject. If he has a twitter account someone should ask him why he is so dismissive of his home town club . He's a big fat disgrace I saw that, was vivid, just blanked the invitation to talk about his home town club and went onto talk about two other games! Compare that with Linekar who's revelling in Leicester's success, and good on him!

It was definitely Bojan - Shaq played it in to Bojan, he controlled it & backheeled it to Arnie who crossed for Shaq (who missed!)

I can't watch Garth Crooks any more. His pretentious, overly-dramatic delivery already turned me cold but now he looks like the unfortunate offspring of Idi Amin and Diane Abbott it's become too much to endure... Idi Amin and Diane Abbott - love it!!!!

There were so many flicks, shimmys, backheels, drag-backs from our front three, it would be understandable if I mistakenly attributed one to the wrong player, but I'm fairly sure Bojan did one.

Joey Barton is an excellent pundit. I agree with a lot of what he says, but you can't talk sense one day and stub out cigars in kid's eyes the next. Just have too little respect for the man. I can't take him seriously or respect his viewpoints on anything quite honestly

popping to the shop yesterday I decided to buy the Sun, as I think their football coverage is usually very good.
Having read the report I thought I must share their player ratings with you. Now not having the Sun with me (I'm at work) I am doing this by memory
Butland 7 Johnson 6 Shawcross 7 Wollschied 7 Pieters 7 Cameron 8 MOM Whelan 7 Shaqiri 7 Arnautovic 8 Bojan 7 Affelay 7
for Man City most scored a 6 apart from David Silva who scored a 7..........yes that's right David Silva played as well as Shaqiri, Bojan and Affelay according to the Sun, I did go to the game Saturday and from what I recall Silva hardly touched the ball before being dragged off. If Silva was a 5 that's as much as he was worth, Shaq on the other hand was at least an 8 if not a 9, for me Bojan and Affelay were 8's also. it does make me wonder about the bias in the Sun
Cam had a very good game but MOM performance???
Get it in the oatcake Smudge!!

A few posters suggesting Shawcross to City to shore up that defence.............. God I hope not, will definitely get an England shirt if that ever becomes a possibility though! Half way through a five year contract, at his absolute peak. They paid £32M for Mangala, £29M for Otamendi both of who he's vastly superior to. Start the bidding at £40 Million then lads? English, so make it a nice round 50 mate. Then when the bid comes in, Ryan can tell them to fuck right off himself. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards

I had to pinch myself after watching it as were they really talking about "My Stoke" or some other top team!
A breath of fresh air giving us the credit we rightly deserve but not forgetting the "Welcome to Hell" greeting visitors to the Britannia still get alledgedly?
Liked the quip about Atkinson getting abuse when he awarded us a first foul.
Watch it if you haven't already seen it a great piece.
