The run is bound to come to a shuddering halt at the Stadium of Shite. We've got an atrocious record there both performance/result wise and referee wise. Dean reffed us there when we beat them in the cup last season Must have had an 'off day'.

Only just spotted that Clattenburg is reffing Shef Wed?? Why is it, that we finally get given the best ref in the league and it's in a fucking cup game?!!! Christ almighty.

Refs are largely irrelevant when you're playing well and winning.
If you're reliant on the ref you ain't doing enough to win the game.
That sort of thing, anyway...

I like Clattenburg and think he's a decent ref so he's bound to shaft us. Oh woe is me!

I'm going to the SoL for the first time on Satdee. Looking forward to it, since there seems to be a dearth of home games in November. The Chelsea game seems a long time ago. Take 10 jumpers. The SoL makes the Brit feel like Barbados. One of my coldest ever days at a game was at the SoL. A desolate hole if ever there was one. I am a frostbitten veteran of February evening away matches at Grimsby Town. Does this prepare me adequately for the experience?

After not being at the Southampton game I had a long hard look at myself as some wonderfully devoted supporter requested and guess what... I'm not going to Sunderland either. Once again I beg for forgiveness. Forgiven. By the way I'm not going either so you're not alone. Last time up there I went to Roker Park twice, when West Brom then Villa visited, and one match Brian Clough was playing CF on his come back from a badly broken leg. The crowd were magnificent.I was working up there for three weeks.

A crap draw - I think they'll try and cancel us out, and succeed, but offer sod all themselves. Unless we can produce a moment of brilliance, and let's face it, we've got plenty of players capable of that now.

The lads have ended the liberty and St mary's ground curse, can we beat the mackems at their place like ? Why do you say like at the end of a sentence?.

While this is a game we should win on recent form, our visits to the SoL have not always ended well in the past. I don't think many on here would have expected us to pick up 3 points at St. Mary's last Saturday but also we have lost games in the past against teams we would have expected to beat. Beware the "Ginger Messi" (Duncan Watmore) He has not made a start, yet, for Sunderland but came on late in England's u 21 game last week and, apparently turned the game around, scoring one goal and creating another in the last 15 minutes of the game to rave reviews in the papers.

It'd be difficult to make any changes from the team that won at Southampton. Nobody had a bad game and Hughes makes 'em play for the shirt.
If there's one change I would contemplate though, it'd be to bring Diouf in up front to give us some pace to get in behind their back line.
It would be harsh on Jon mind.
Confidence is high. Away win.

Before the Southampton game I said I'd expect 4 points from the 2 away trips. I reckon we can get 6 though. I really fancy us to beat Sunderland even with our awful record there. Another 1-0 will do nicely.

Walters has done nothing at all (apart from miss) since his goal in the cup against Chelski, with Diouf's pace in front of Bojan we'll offer a far greater threat in front of goal. Gouranga.

Shaq isn't performing. He needs a rest.

If not Diouf, why not try Bojan up front? After all he does know where the goal is. Just a thought.

I'd start both Walters and Diouf. Shaq isn't performing. He needs a rest. How about you give it a rest? We get it. He's small and foreign and he does stepovers. Tony wouldn't like him. Can we move on?
