Pretty sure they fucked it up. Did the announcer say a minutes silence followed by last post. Then the soldier played last post, no silence, then straight after the ref blew...

It was definitely messed up. There wasn't a minutes silence, it should of commenced straight after the last post had finished but everyone clapped, the players parted & that was that. Ah well as mentioned the last post was a nice touch..

What a shame, bet the Bugler is well gutted, seems to have been his fault, for starting too early... whats the norm at the Cenotaphs, silence then last post, or last post then silence, I'd say Silence 1st... Also watching it on the box, one of our official photographers was faffing about, surely he should remain still.

And from my times at remembrance parades the LP always marked the end of the 1 minute silence.

100% it was wrong.
It was bloody amateur hour.
The instructions were fairly clear and everyone just clapped.
Bizarre.

Blowing the whistle was the first of a catalogue of hopeless decisions from a worthless referee.
Was I the only person who found it incredibly tasteless that the Sky cameramen were poking their cameras right in the Chelsea players' faces during the last post?

No it wasn't, the ref shouldn't have blew his whistle. Yes, he signalled the end of the minutes silence, elswhere whistle started and finished the silence. However I thought the last post was a far better tribute.

At the Cenotaph it's :- Last Post, then silence, then Reveille, to mark the end of the silence.

Strange how a total fuck up can turn into a superb tribute. Total silence from the crowd whilst the Last Post was played was a moving tribute I thought.

It's last post then minutes silence. Someone messed up. Saying that, the last post was still a special moment. If all else fails, blame the ref !!

We had the minutes silence while the last post was played. As far as I was concerned and 99.9% of the crowd were aware it was impeccably served, even the players broke straight after.
Are we sure it was the fuck up that it's being painted as?

Who gives a fuck. It was one of the best well observed minutes silence I had heard. Not a sound from anyone in the crowd. Very respectful

Last post was superb I did think it will be hard to keep this crowd silent for another minute so may be it was the announcement that was wrong although I understand the convention. .
We are shit at all this organisation stuff though and persist in doing things so far ahead of the game when the stadium is empty .

I don't understand why it could be described as a "real sour moment" it was impeccably observed and the last post was a real sombre and poignant moment.

If I heard it right it should have been the minutes silence followed by the Last Post so it was the bugler fucked up. It was the same in every game. The only fuck up was that of the stadium announcer. Regardless it was poignant and impeccably observed.
