At home, i'd play Adam. He has a creative spark and an eye for goal, particularly against the bigger teams.

Adam has done nothing wrong and I've not seen anything that woul suggest Cameron would improve our key weaknesses but there may well be a case for dropping him, Saturday.
After that over hyped Willian tackle, every time he goes near one of them, they will be yelping and rolling around whethr he's 'Charlied' them or not and Taylor is just the sort of fraud who will buy anything from a big club player.

I think you may be right. I susspect that they are going to be really up for it and have a go at us. unfortunatly their version of having a go includes, rolling around on the ground when untouched, intimidating Refferees, and any other form of cheating that they can get away with. Costa is just a vile person and footballer. I would let Whelan and Shawcross deal with him, but they need to be carefull inside the pen area as he will go down easily. And then give them a dig or kick as he gets back up !!

Good post. Adam has been (mostly) a relevation opposite Whelan, but I hadn't reckoned that his propensity for potentially 'tasty' tackles could be our undoing on Sat. Cameron's not the answer for that midfield spot though. On Sat, anyway. I'd play a similar squad to the cup game, with the inclusion of Shaq from the start and Diouf up front.

The OP obviously missed Charlie creating one of our only gilt-edged chances last week and having one of our few shots on goal.
Yeah, great idea, let's remove him from the team.

Cameron goes straight to the bench, the two centre halves have done enough to remain as a pairing and Adam has done nothing to deserve being dropped. The time to rest Charlie might be Southampton away when I think the game might be too quick for him.....

We'd better watch out for any large laundry baskets near the touchline. Apparently he hid in one to get round a similar ban in a UEFA match.

I need to see a photo (in a bikini) before I pass judgement on Jose. Obviously just for arts sake, I mean, God forbid. That's not Jose Mourinho!

Sooner or later Chelsea are going to click and remind everyone why they walked away with the title last season. I really hope it is not against us. A draw would be a great result. Yeah for sure a draw would be fantastic, just hope we don't stay in our own half to long to get a draw we are going to need to score that's for sure.

My prediction is 0-3....on the basis that they aren't as bad as results would suggest and will get their act together sooner rather than later....and because I'm a glass half empty person....and because I'm usually wildly wrong in my predictions

Get your tickets quick if you're contemplating going. Only Block 10 where there's seats together really, all for the bargain price of £44 adults and £20 juniors.......

Said all week team should be front six of
Whelan Cameron Adam
Walters. Diof. Arnie
Bojan and shaq can then come on against tiring players but neither merit a start at he minute and we would finally have a degree of physical presence with Shawcross. And Wolly behind this spine

Personally either for me. Whilst Adam drives forward and is undoubtedly gifted in passing and chance creation and has sublime skill in shooting his athleticism is left wanting... que Cameron one of our most athletic players, great on the ball and the fastest in our side in the midfield going forward currently. Can tackle, nick and intercept the ball like no other in there. Either one could give chelsea fits if they are on it and they are no light weights as Costa has found out. I trust the managers judgement on who starts, it's a tactical question really. Adam has been very good starting but has finished a full 90 several times this season.
I'd have Adam go until the 65th min and see what he can do versus them and then probably bring in Cameron when Adam tires to drive it forward when needed and then defend with Whelan. I don't like messing with winning sides and Adam has been quite good this season and especially in recent matches starting in the midfield and this would be Geoff's first encounter in his preferred position. I'd hold his debut at CM until Southampton personally and let him get minutes of the bench from the recent injury.

I wonder if this kind of thing crosses a managers mind or not. Surely you have to pick your players on the understanding that the officials will be fair and not influenced by what has gone on before. Sadly, I think you are right.

Sadly, I think you are right. If you knew what Mark was thinking on Afellay over Ireland nearly everymatch and if he goes with Adam over Cameron with that wanker of a ref we've got this weekend after Chelsea's wanker fans looking for anything to decry because their shite (Willian tackle by Adam) you'd be a rich man. I'm not betting on our match at the weekend... It's a proverbial "unknown" what we come out like lately and what the hell the refs will do lol

I don't understand the Ireland situation at all. Hughes is a big fan and he's already turned one game this season in our favour but he's not getting a look in, even off the bench. I can only think that h's not fit enough.
To me I'd play Adam, at least he can pass the ball, unlike Cameron.
