Mr Frith, please behave. facts are sooooooo tiresome GD Well if you want facts David, they had beat us once in the previous nine years up until March 2015 and twice in five months since Pulis took over so there potentially may be something in what Matt is saying, sofa boy? twice in 11 years is hardly status quo is it Mr momo. you stick to your defence of the monkey and I'll give the organ grinder the praise he rightly deserves GD

Jesus h corbett this is getting out of hand again , this thread started as an observation of how the footballing tika taka purists at wet brazil are taking too pulis and his binary football and has turned into round 99987 of rimmers vs haters. Going back to the original topic i do see a comparison in what TP did with us at the begining and what hes doing with the tesco bag boys, the natives are restless but as his time with us and palace proved there is potential when a good pulisball ball team is firing to cause problems for anyone however as we know plan A and plan B dont really differ and as there are only 2 pages in the pulisball play book plan C aint happening ever, but that is their problem now not ours

I know mate! I'm just glad I didn't suggest I'd feck off up the Vale if it reached 23 or anything extreme like that. That will teach me for looking to the best in people. <smiley> Oh well, optimism eh... (EDIT) and I've just made it 5. What a twat. Now up to double figures. Benefited from the international break no doubt. No Stoke games to fret about so an opportunity to revisit old arguments is just too hard to resist.

So glad this bloke is not at our club anymore, this ring any bells from a few years back>
There is no enjoyment in watching us anymore. It is boring. Complete mind-numbing tripe. Who wants to watch your side play like that at Crystal Palace ffs?
I'm afraid away games are off the cards for me. I'm not spending the best of a £100 on the day for little enjoyment bar the company of my mates. There is nothing to be hopeful for. Nothing to excite you and until that changes, I'll try and stay away
Quote from: bring me sunshine on October 05, 2015, 03:37:23 PMI see more and more people refusing to go to away and home matches.
My opinion of him hasn't changed since last March. He is and will always be a dinosaur and will suck the life out of the club I love. Gave up my season ticket this year and stopped going after March. And the owner and the Coates family and the players and the sponsors and pretty much everybody associated with the club but on a lighter note I’m pleased to see he’s working his magic with you. It’s just a matter of time, my guess is February 2016, before your at all out war with each other.
I think that's already happening to be honest. He's killing this club.
Quote from: WBAinDEVON on October 05, 2015, 08:41:36 AM Would you trust Pulis with anymore money, i am not so sure definitely not, and I am sure, after £30m we look worse than last season brown - lambert & rondom £12m no improvement chester - lescott no improvement, oh and how much £5-6m macmanuman £5m hardly see him still got no full backs mcclean nowhere near good enough £1.5m we've still got no pace or creativity in midfield. and according to the e&s pulis goes out to win every game, he's taking the pissAlso may i point out that he's come across to me as a hypocrite, he comes into our club harping on about how we need unity and that we all need to do what's best for each other, and then proceeds to split the fanbase in half and play football that's as entertaining as watching paint dry knowing that pretty much everyone at the club can't stand it
very well put we should have got rid of pulis last may ,he his destroying our club, and ive practically i think it would be the best £ 3.3M we ever spent if we sacked him now. FFS, that wouldn't even buy a player from League 2. Peanuts. stopped going or even watching on tv
I must admit that I have changed my mind about TP. My initial view, right bloke at the right time was probably correct, but the last couple of games have changed that I'm afraid.
It really looks like we are in for a turgid, soul destroying fight to the death again. although its early days. But when you see other, similar type clubs doing well, it really begs the question, why not us?
It all feels so depressingly familiar and I wonder how long the situation will last this time. Hopefully there are three teams worse than us again, but if the cost of survival is utter dross and winning 0-0 every week I'm not so sure our fan base will put up with it in the long term. I sincerely hope this is not the year that TPs record of never being relegated is finally put to rest, but my gut feeling is it could be.

Don't forget the Torquay, Plymouth, Grimsby, Bristol Rovers. Lincoln, Stockport, Barnet and Aldershot managers where he racked up the other 44 appearances of his 10 year professional career. Then there is Portsmouth and Southampton where he racked up 0 appearances in 5 years, so strange that Southampton were so keen to take him as part of the million plus deal that bought Andrew Davies to our reserves and loans at Bradford etc. Yeah, paying them off, as well as an international manager was one of the rimmers greatest achievements. Took us ages to sort it out. Worth it though as Ant was on £90 a bastard week for the first two years he was here. I mean five grand a year for an under 21 International. What a fucking piss take. Can I just briefly interrupt this jolly affair to point out that not a word of Sheiky's post is remotely true. It is completely made up and many a mile from the truth. I guess most had figured that out but we can now sit back and enjoy the usual tactic of repeating the horseshit until in a deranged mind or two it assumes a truth all of its own. I thank you.

What he didn't get several Welsh Under 21 Caps? He didn't get bought or loaned by those other managers? This conspiracy runs fucking deep doesn't it Anyway as Wankstain in Chief has now deigned to join us I think its only fair to offer him for the hundredth time the opportunity to say Hughes has done a fabulous job as Stoke manager and Pulis did a fabulous job as Stoke manager. Most normal people find it easy to do so. You see your constant refusal makes you look like a massive raving bigot with a hate complex!

The funny thing is that these managers of Lincoln, Grimsby etc worked out in 3-4 games that Jnr was not good enough yet daddy couldn't work that out in the five years of pro contracts he gave him. This hate complex thing you are going on about and Hughes and Pulis praise too, i'm just checking through your comments on fruit and veg salesman, icelandic wankers etc can't quite see the acknowledgement of the good they did, a case of Rimmer heal thyself i'd say.

Talking to a baggies fan who comes into work occasionally today and he was talking about how he had noticed bits at the top of the stand that he had never seen before after 40 years of going because the ball is always f**king up there. Haha. He said I don't know what it is but it ain't football. He almost seemed totally soul destroyed by the whole thing. He never even gave me any grief about them beating us like he'd totally forgotten it.

Where have I ever said he was a good player? However thanks for making my point, a professional football manager gave him a contract. We all know you prefer cucumber salesman to buy players than managers. Well at least you do if it makes you make some sort of insane, lame dig, at a man you remain obsessed with.

Jesus mate.. Thought you eere an intelligent bloke. I'm not upset about better football. I'm upset that certain people cannot just stop abusing our previous successful manager. End. Goodnight. And I'm pointing out that you yourself couldn't stop doing that when he was here. So maybe give it a rest? I think it's the people who are even NOW slagging TP off that should give it a rest Chefy...don't you?

But his sheer bloody mindedness got us through the nervy, fledging first steps into the Promised Land. Like Moses ... Narrow pitches, Rory's missiles , whi can forget it. Evidently some can.

Give up what? I've not for once denied my previous thinking on Tony. I was wrong. I've said this several times ... Now, I think it's time for us all to draw a line in the sand and say Thanks Tone We respect what you did. Would you take the piss out of Club legends like Mark Stein and Eric Skeels the way that you have?

Now, I think it's time for us all to draw a line in the sand and say Thanks Tone We respect what you did. They physically cannot do it. I've invited a few of them and they simply can't bring themselves to do it. That's fine of course but I think we should be able to expect them to cut out the preachy, sanctimonious, holier than thou shit about how others behave.

When I realised he had built the foundations. The foundations that were looking so shaky that you were calling for him to be sacked in May 2013? Why do you keep going back? I've told you several times I was wrong. I've repented ...I've had a Saul moment ..call it what you will. Seriously I cannot see why you have got such a problem with my plea for people to stop slagging off TP. Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much. He laid the foundations. Let's hope that Sparky keeps building. Goodnight.
