I think most people's concerns are the fact that until Shawcross returns there doesn't seem to be any real leadership and steel.
WE all expected a defeat today if we're honest.
Whatever we say or think the next two home games are crucial.
Anybody who thinks we have not got major issues at the moment is living in cloud cuckoo land.

When have we ever gone to the Emirates expecting something? People are forgetting who we are. Next two games are crucial yes. If we don't take at least four points from them I will be joining you in wetting myself. I expect us to take 6 points and all this nonsense about relegation and ''I told you so'' will quickly disappear.

Liverpool unlucky Norwich lucky. Spurs lucky WBA unlucky and Arsenal same as Norwich but deserved fuck all.
Hardly the start we thought and no star performers.
6 points from the next two is the test

I agree, no-one really expected us to win (bookies had us at 11-1, which is about an 8% chance of winning). But I did at least expect us to show up. A sensible starting line up wouldn't have done any harm either. What did Ireland do to warrant being left out!

I don't think performances overall have been that bad. Today was shocking mind. You missed Norwich Oh and the first 60 mins at Spurs And the total indiscipline against Pulis Apart from that - spot on

We are in a relegation battle. We haven't replaced 2 of the spine of the team. (Shawcross and nzonxi ) It's no use burying our heads in the sand, our team is very poor. We have spent less net than any other team in the last 2 years. Anyone who isn't worried needs to take off their rose tinted glasses. A long season coming up and let's face it lose to Leicester and Bournemouth and Hughes will lose his job. Thing is with a transfer window you can't react until it's too late. We're not in a relegation battle in September and Hughes won't lose his job if we lose the next two. We are bottom - that means we are in a relegation battle at this moment in time - fact

I'm guilty of adorning the rose colored glasses. I predicted a top 6 finish, and I'm standing by it. I'm not ready to push the panic button yet. Granted next week I may be eyeing it quite closely. All 3 points next week are desperately needed.

I don't know why everyone thinks we will beat Leicester next week. They are 6 points ahead of us and are playing well unlike us.
I was at the game today and the first half was diabolical; the midfield was powder-puff; the defence was like the key-stone cops and up-front Diouf couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo.
Leicester will take us apart next week if we play like that again. Serious thought needs to be given to holding midfield and defence and in Bardsley should be left in London.

I'm not worried yet, slightly concerned maybe but we have played 3 of the big teams in our first 5 games, 2 away from home
As long as Hughes can stop it from snowballing then i'm still optimistic

I am in complete agreement
If we play like this Leicester will tear us a new arse
Indeed if we did not have a truly brilliant Butland the goal difference statistic would be truly horrific
I've watched al the Prem teams play so far and we are definitely the most vulnerable - perhaps on a par with Sunderland
Otherwise might continue to predict a top 6 finish - which for me is cuckooland - but as far as I'm concerned I just hoe that at the end of the season there will be 3 teams with less points than us.
And unless we reeaaaally improve, I don't know ...
I'm not knicker-wetting but just being realistic on the basis of the football I've seen so far
The problems are deep-rooted and it's going to take a lot of effort to turn the tide
If we lose next week then we'll be neck-deep in the shit
In January we need to do some really shrewd business

Got to say I was worried by what I saw today Rob.
I don't think anybody was expecting us to get anything at the Emirates but I did expect us to go there and appear to have at least some idea about what we were supposed to be doing.
Going to the Emirates with an idea to play a straight 4-4-2, certainly raised many eyebrows before kick-off, people fearing that we would get overrun in midfield and that's exactly what happened.
If it wasn't for the woodwork and an incredible display from Butland we could have easily been behind by four or five by half time.
The most worrying thing was that Hughes had obviously been working on 4-4-2 for a while on the training ground, with players charged with playing in specific positions but he spent most of the first half switching players around frantically trying to make his 'system' work, no wonder the players looked at sixes and sevens.
Within 10 minutes of the second half starting, he threw 4-4-2 out of the window and we were left with the incredible sight of Arnie leading the line for us and Hughes again switching players around behind him in a (desperate) attempt to try and get some sort of formation working on the pitch.
I don't think I'm over egging it by suggesting that it looked like Hughes was making it up as he went along.
Understandable if we were making changes on the hoof due to injuries but not one player got injured today.
I really don't think that Hughes has got the foggiest what his best starting XI is at the moment.
