Embarrassed?? Do yourself a favour and go fuck off and support Chelsea, Man U or Man city then!! Would you be as proud as punch though if we did a Leeds? Of course you would, Just as long as we're spending the dosh hey? Do we have a better squad than last year? Do you think we have sufficient cover for the wings? Do you think the freebie transfer policy has been successful ( sidwell, Johnston, Ireland, bardsley)? Do you think this transfer season has been successful ? We were more in the need to invest than our rivals considering the players we have lost from last year Go on pwingy supply an opinion You said you're embarrassed, if you're that embarrassed then do one. Yes we have a better SQUAD. We have the same as last year. Yes (Muniesa, Diouf, van ginkel, Given, Ireland, wingie, johnson) plus 2 top ten finishes sort of shits on your theory. We have got rid of 2 players that clearly wanted to go and only one we actually miss so far.

Do you think the freebie transfer policy has been successful ( sidwell, Johnston, Ireland, bardsley)? I like how you choose not to list Diouf, Muniesa and Odemwingie from your free transfer list but that doesn't suit your agenda does it? Exactly.

The answer lies in looking at a team like Swansea They lost bony but got Gomis whilst retaining the whole spine of the team 2 good centre halfs in Williams and Fernandez Shelvey and sigurdsson Then they improved with the likes of Andre ayew That's taking it to the next level I think that's what we're trying to do. They've lost their share of key players over the years but generally done a fine job replacing them. It's not easy though.

I don't think we'll sign anybody which for me would be a big mistake as I still think we're lacking in 2-3 positions. For me a perfect amd realistic final 48 hours would be
CB - Collins from West Ham (A leader, good in the air, good organiser) just what we need. DM - Wanyama (though I'd imagine unlikely. If we were going to spend massive on Yarmo why not invest the money on this guy. He'd make a huge difference. WF - Matt Phillips I really rate we definitely need a third winger as Odom seems a big injury risk and Odom wants out. Yarmo would have been great but wont come. Moses would be ace if he could keep fit.

An experienced centre half and another winger with wolschied and Walters departing for pastures new.
We can then focus on getting Roberto from Barcelona and agreeing pre contract with yarmelenko in January.

Although it pains me to choose an ex Liverpool player...but i think Jonjo Shelvey or Wes Hoolahan ...just someone who takes it from defence and strides through midfied and pushes us 10 yards further upfield

In light of the annoying Moses to West Ham news, any other winger names come to mind?
Demarai Gray seems to be available for around £5m?

Why the hell do we need another winger?
We need a CM who knows the PL and CB on loan. There are players out there.
The facts are the manager again is not being backed. Strange.

But the suggestion that Swansea are able to keep their best players and build on that doesn't really stand up. Their best players often get picked off by the big boys just like everyone else's.

Seriously? Thought we paid 3million for him If we can recoup our money on him, or at least get close and secure an alternative Hughes would be happy with, I'd say we'd get rid.

After yesterday, get rid of Adam. Whilst it wasn't the worst "stamp" the bloke is a liability. Gives the ball away too often and has always got a red card waiting to be raised.

Not so much that as another option to rotate as form/fitness dictates like we did with him and Moses, or a young option we can chuck on from the bench with half an hour to go (too soon for Moha to be this IMO).

Fair point, I just think we have more pressing issues. I'd be signing Mikel, or at least asking about him. Lucas as well.

I don't disagree but Sparky has signed Affelay, Wooly and renewed Wingy. Three valuable and expensive places in the squad that are inmy opinion bordering on worthless. I know that Affelay needs some time but I really cannot see where he will fit in.
