Would you consider selling Crouch and Walters and bring in either Moses or Lennon?

Always sad to see such stalwarts go...but yes.

I think after today we'll be busy. Not because we're bad, we're not, but because we just will.

I'd consider anything that involved strengthening the first 11
We have made some strange signings this window doubling up in areas that were lower priority whilst ignoring the spine
Despite all the 'proud' stuff today I remain very worried about this season

We could do with a proper winger, one who likes to get down the line and put in crosses a la Moses (without the doctors note) who can preferably play on both wings.Tall order that. Looks like Walters is off....Crouch is going to be a bit part player unless Joselu turns out to be a flop

I think our first priority should be bringing in another Ryan-type centre-half, and a bit more steel in midfield.

The squad is not actually that balanced, is it?
With the numbers we have, injuries to Shawcross, Whelan, Diouf, and Pieters arguably shouldn't cause us as many sizeable issues as they have/would.
We're probably a winger light too. Can't see Afellay giving us what we want there.
Interesting to see who we'd be prepared to shed before Tuesday if we had a chance to balance the squad up a bit?
Walters? It's looking like it Bardsley? You'd think so but wouldn't think any C'ship teams could afford his salary. Sidwell? Possibly. Wolly? Just wonder if it is as inconceivable as it appears. It does appear crazy, but scratch the surface and maybe it's not. Crouch? Outside chance

We're a left winger short for definite, that was showed by having to play Affelay there today.
We clearly need a centre back. That then at least frees Geoff to cover the midfield and I mean cover, Van Ginkel has to be persisted with.

Not expecting any incomings, would like another CM who can defend and has physical presence (not necessarily just an out and out CDM).
Early on I thought Afellay out wide was a good choice, clearly they were going to sit deep so pace didn't matter, ability on the ball did. Obviously the red card was a poor incident but I still think it was the right call from the manager.
Walters, Bardsley, Sidwell might all be on the list of outgoings I reckon.

We have been crying out for a goal scoring forward for 2 seasons now.....powder puff finishing after all the pretty tap tappy will not be good enough this season for a top half finish.

Pace always matters and TP's sides have always been frightened death of pace and have coped well with flouncy sorts passing it sideways in front of them. All of the good work we did with 11 men came down the right.

I think Stokes ambition throughout this window was to only spend what they have accumulated, oh and pack the team with free signings.

The importance of Whelan should not be underestimated - he was outstanding yesterday
Should he be injured / unavailable we have no natural replacement to step in
An area of the team that possibly needs strengthening?

Still think we need pace in the team but how we juggle the players in and out I'm not sure.I think we need to loan a centre half until Jan but I really can't see anything happening which for me will be a risky strategy after a poor start.

I said to my mate at the time that Victor Moses would have a bloody field day.

If SJW leaves, we'll have to bring in another forward (one last try at Yarmolenko? or Calleri, perhaps).
To balance the squad, we'll need a central defender and a central midfielder as well. But we haven't made much noise regarding these two positions, so maybe Hughes is happy with what he's got?
Potential outgoings: SJW, Sidwell, and Teixeira. I'd love to see us sign someone like Torino's centerback Kamil Glik, with them taking Wolly in exchange, but that's just nok gonna happen ...)

Winger in, especially if Walters goes. The rest are fine until January. Crouch can go if he wants, Bardsley too

Moses linked with WBA today.... MirrorWest Brom are working on deals to take Matt Phillips from QPR or Victor Moses from Chelsea as boss Tony Pulis tries to land a new wide-man before the window closes.
Phillips caught the eye in the Premier League last season despite Rangers’ relegation, while Moses spent the campaign on loan at Stoke.
West Ham have enquired about taking Moses on loan but Pulis is ready to make a cash offer.
Both men are rated around the £10million mark but Chelsea will accept less for Moses to get him off the books.

We have cover in all positions at the back. They may not all be top 4 players, but they'll do the job.
