No will it fuck be talked about for years to come, and neither should it. Unless of course we notch some sort of record breaking victory. It's just another premier league football match and the team we are playing happen to be managed by one of our old managers. Whoopee fucking do! Fucking a trillion times this.

Shaqiri debut at home will be long remembered, Pulis returning I doubt. He will be remembered for his part of our successful history which for him ended sadly, now over two years ago.We have moved on to greater success from the platform he helped to build. That's the kind of answer I was looking for. Clearly not a piss take then, oh dear

We've got a £12m world class, World Cup hat trick scorer making his home debut and some daft fuckers are more concerned about the return of a former manager who was sacked over two years ago. Utterly bizarre.

Like the 6-1 v Liverpool, the 5-0 v Bolton? Somehow doubt it unless it's a similar scoreline.

Don't speak too soon Not lecturing anybody actually and I've also pointed out his many faults. I simply would like the majority of fans (especially those who don't go to away games) to give him a massive standing ovation on his first return to the Brit. That's not so complicated is it.? It's obvious (judging by tonight's Sentinel) that Pulis is going to feel emotional as well. It would be great to give him a real Stokie wall of noise for his benefit. I'm sure he will appreciate it. Regardless of what some cold-hearted souls say on here. Why do you need to insult those who disagree with you? Polite round of applause is sufficient, "massive round of applause" is way over the top for someone who left two years ago and is on his second club since leaving. I'm sorry if I've insulted you ... when and how did I do that? I don't get this second club since leaving comment. What has that got to do with anything. It's his FIRST emotional return to the Britannia.

It's his FIRST emotional return to the Britannia. I am not the slightest bit cold hearted, it has nothing to do with that. It is significant that he is not managing the club he went to after leaving us but the one after that. I've been supporting Stoke since 1958ish and seen many managers come and go. Pulis was one of the more successful in getting us up into the Premier League and keeping us there. It also has to be taken into account that he spent huge amounts of money (a lot wasted) which has led to the more frugal approach in the last two years. Also for at least the last two of his seasons his football was dire to watch. The emotions are therefore mixed for many of us which leads to a more subdued reception.

I really have no idea what to make of this thread The Pulis return is getting more ridiculous by the day Folks are lining up to carry him out of the arena - a bit like Maximus at the end of Gladiator On a stretcher maybe

Can't make that video work on my phone but will simply take it as red that it was as big a non event as the supposed slur prior to the West Brom away game. Witch finder generals indeed. Bit of a shame he can never be big enough to praise Hughes for the job he's done here though isn't it Sheiky? Just seen it. I mean again, Rob, for fucks sake is that really fucking it? He's asked a provocative question, avoids it and says it will be different going back in the opposition dugout. In terms of absolute nancy boy, looking for something to be offended by dogshit, this takes an even bigger biscuit than last time!

I just think it's a shame and a bit petty he can't bring himself to acknowledge how well Hughes has done here in the way he does other managers. Human nature I suppose but you'd think he'd be big enough to do it.

As many normal people have said (the non unstable ones who have vicious hate/love of our old gaffer), I will happily clap him down the touchline with genuine affection
But then as soon as it kicks off I will boo, mock, "hoof", and join in with as many piss takes on tactics, long balls, West Brazil type songs as possible as the three points are far more important!
TP wont expect any less, if anything we need to raise it a notch and make it a bit nasty to get our boys in and at them from the off

Pulis will always be regarded as legend by proper Stoke fans but not by the half a dozen gobshites on here who over the years have been made to look like mugs. They will look like mugs again when Pulis walks out and gets the ovation he so richly deserves.

It must stick in his craw that MH achieved far more in two consecutive seasons with a fraction of the resources at his disposal than he enjoyed. He would have wanted him to have spectacularly failed and us to be relegated, of that there can be no doubt.

Well at the moment i am only up to reading page 5 & Momo has already described people on this website as cunts & clueless wankers.
If the word cunt is acceptable for a certain few but not for others, then i would like to have a rant about Mr Pulis & call him a cunt in certain terms for purely footballing reasons.
Seems like certain posters can get away with anything they say, but other posters must tow the line.
