Can't make that video work on my phone but will simply take it as red that it was as big a non event as the supposed slur prior to the West Brom away game. Witch finder generals indeed. Bit of a shame he can never be big enough to praise Hughes for the job he's done here though isn't it Sheiky?

I hope we give Tony the welcome he deserves but sentiment won't come in to it when it comes to us getting 3 points tomorrow. I don't think any of us will forget what he did for us. Welcome back Tony but we are going to beat you

Suppose so... Be a bit like yours when Diouf scores 20 goals this season It'd only be like that if I was vociferously and noisily slating the player at length and wanting us to get shut of him for years on end before suddenly deciding he was marvellous after we'd sold him and lecturing anyone who didn't think the same. Don't speak too soon Not lecturing anybody actually and I've also pointed out his many faults. I simply would like the majority of fans (especially those who don't go to away games) to give him a massive standing ovation on his first return to the Brit. That's not so complicated is it.? It's obvious (judging by tonight's Sentinel) that Pulis is going to feel emotional as well. It would be great to give him a real Stokie wall of noise for his benefit. I'm sure he will appreciate it. Regardless of what some cold-hearted souls say on here.

A former manager returning for the first time. One who's massive in our history. Will tomorrow be talked about by fans for years to come? Will people say "I was there" or is there simply not that feeling among stoke fans? For other clubs, a formerly successful manager returning has been a huge moment for fans.
Will people be saying "I was there"
Please don't turn this into a Hughes vs Pulis thread or Pulis hate thread. Just a simple question.

Grandads will be telling their grandsons about it for decades.

Maybe, if Shaqiri beats seven men and dances the hornpipe before backheeling into the West Brom net, or if Jonas Olsson downs the police helicopter.

I really have no idea what to make of this thread The Pulis return is getting more ridiculous by the day Werra you know I'm not a Pulis lover or hater but remember when Keegan returned to Newcastle the first time? It's a moment they still talk about. Don't over react.

I'm not sure what people are planning to do (nothing is my strong suspicion) but some decent applause is all that is warranted and required.
The wankstains are feeling queasy, putting about shithouse stories, just like they did before the Palace game.

It'll only be talked about for years to come if it's a quality game of football with plenty of goals. Somehow I see this one being a 0-0 so if that's the case, everyone will forget it - binary stuff is very boring

Shaqiri debut at home will be long remembered, Pulis returning I doubt. He will be remembered for his part of our successful history which for him ended sadly, now over two years ago.We have moved on to greater success from the platform he helped to build.

Did the wonderful job he'd done never occur to you at the time it was actually happening?

No. It will be a tight, Pulis-esque away performance from WBA, with the odd scare provided by Ricky Lambert, and a relatively fits and starts attack from a Stoke side that haven't gelled. It will be a game to forget, even if we get three points.

Amazing stuff on here from people who really should know better.
I particularly like the thunderous round of applause line, ironic in the extreme as at the time he was performing miracles no one could muster a Tony Pulis song from the stands.
The bloke isn't liked by the majority, some people can't handle it.

No will it fuck be talked about for years to come, and neither should it.
Unless of course we notch some sort of record breaking victory.
It's just another premier league football match and the team we are playing happen to be managed by one of our old managers. Whoopee fucking do!

I don't get why people have a problem with TP getting a good reception, I think he deserves it and so does Hughes. It won't do any harm either, what the fuck is wrong with people ?

Polite round of applause is sufficient, "massive round of applause" is way over the top for someone who left two years ago and is on his second club since leaving.

I don't know what you want people to say. He'll get a decent ovation then the match will kick off and there's a pretty decent chance it'll be a struggle of a game. What are you expecting to happen that's so out of the ordinary and special?
