I have to side with bayern on this one. Walters has a lot a qualities. But being a pacy winger ain't one of them. We're very lop-sided with Arnie on the left and Walters on the right, which makes us predictable and easier to defend. The way we line up 4-2-3-1 we need quality wingers on both flanks to stretch out the opposition's back 4. 4-2-3-1 with quality wingers etc I love the knowledge of many on this board when the likes of Leslie and others on a £million are wrapped up in bed. Erm. Not quite sure what to make of that comment. I assume it was some kind of insult. Anyway in case it was here's one for you: piss off you owde git. BTW how do you know I aren't on a million? Bet you're not. Lol.

Sorry I meant Walters not good enough. The bid was perfectly acceptable in my eyes Yeah, he's no Tuncay that's for sure. Well that kind of goes without saying doesn't it? Can you envisage Walters putting in motm performances against France and Brazil? What about scoring champions league hatricks? Pretty sure a Euro 2008 semi final and captaining his country for 4 years is beyond him too.

Would you rather we signed a striker that scored 15 from the spot and 3 from open play or a striker who scored 15 from open play and 3 from the spot? Wouldn't care either way, they all count, they can all bounce off his arse for all I care. But his penalty record is shit. Somebody else should have taken them and then we'd have more goals and his goal record would be quite poor for a forward. I like Walters but when comparing goal numbers, I always take out the penalties.

Infact whenever we win a game with a penalty I always write a letter to the Premier League demanding they take 2 points off us. I even use red ink to show just how angry I am about it!

Perfect example, if Andy Cole took penalties and Shearer didn't their goal records could be very different.

I was agreeing with you that penalties shouldn't count. I don't count goals scored in an open goal either, I mean come on, how can you count a goal where there isn't even a 'keeper in the net?

I wonder (and this is just me wondering, making wild accusation, pondering, making shit up etc) if he refused to play on Saturday?
He did the same at Ipswich didn't he?

Time to move on. Barring a lot of injuries or several players not panning out, I don't SJW making the squad much this season let alone getting any playing time. So I suspect he's "on the bubble" to use an American phrase. There are just too many better players ahead of him.

We won't sell him to West Bromwich until after we've played them.

Jon is still a good player to have in the squad in case of injuries.I think he's coming up 32 so 2 years will be generous for a forward player in the premiership & that's probably why the club are digging their heels in on this one.For me one year is right & then up to him to prove himself if he wants a second year with us.

If it's between Walters and Odem for the bench, it's Walters.

I like Walters but I think a year extension is fair of the club. I just can't see him featuring for another three years.

I thought that the Crouch extension was madness but I've been told he more than covers his wages on commercial activity. I can't see Walters being in that realm so a 1 year extension is very sensible. If he's going to make waves over it get him gone.

Once he knew Stoke were interested he had a meeting with Keane and told him he wouldn't play for him again effectively going on strike. We'll see how much of a 'pro' he actually is in the next week I'm sure

He's no different to any other professional footballer, he will do whatever he as to, to whoever he wants to get the deal he requires. Anyone who believes he or any other footballer is here for the love of the club are going to be very disappointed.

He's 31. Last chance for a pay day.Think he may kick himself for not signing as he won't get that money anywhere else.
