Wouldn't sell him, sign that contract Jon! Would much prefer crouch/Odem to leave I would sooner keep them all! More options= More competition for the players to compete for a place in the starting 11?

He's done piss all in the last 2 games, difficult to see him game time as Shaq will have his spot from now.
But I would rather we lose crouch (I say that with a heavy heart) as we have Joselu.

If they double there offer I wonder if we'd let him go?

Are they trying to unsettle our star player before we play them?.

For 3m probably. I expect his game time will be limited to cup games mostly and for those well have odem back soon.

If they double there offer I wonder if we'd let him go? I doubt he'd want to go there anyway. Wasn't part of him coming here his desire to move closer to the North West?

Cheers Norwich, that'll coax Tone nicely out of the woodwork to come in with a £3 million bid.

Can't see us offering him a 3-yr deal under any circumstances.
Can't see Norwich particularly appealing to him geographically. But if they were offering him 3 yrs, you could see the appeal.
It's going to be hard to keep Walters and Wingie remotely content though - one of them is expendable with Shaq going to start most games and those 2 fighting for one lot of scraps.

He's worth far more than that for his experience alone!

If the reports are right we effectively offered him 3 years on new terms with the two added onto the end of his current contract! He would be 34 going into his 35th birthday the season after so he has the potential for one more contract following that. I personally think his delay in signing the contract is more to do with his beliefs and desire for game time. I actually think he wants to move on as he is no benchwarmer. No one is going to sign him on a 4 year deal surely????

personally i'd want to keep him as good backup for what we now have but i think he knows he won't be getting regular first team games anymore and suspect that's what he wants so am expecting to lose him. but for 1.5m?????
Piss off you inbred weirdos!

Bullshit.

Just assumed it meant we'd effectively offered him a year's extension until 2017 . And he was looking for a deal until 2018. I think that's a bit optimistic on his part - although TP would probably go for it. But the main issue probably now is the effect of Shaq and he sees a future on the bench (although we've said that before several times and he's seen everyone off - but hard to see how he can this time)

I can't see, at his age, that we would ever offer more.
