I've been a critic of Whelan BUT he has won me over a little.
Whenever his place has been under threat he has stepped up and made it impossible for the manager to drop him. What does Walters do - hand in a transfer request.

Maybe the club will turn it down and tell him to see out his contract, any chance? I genuinely hope not. If we can get 3m+ for him, we'd be crazy not to cash in. Why not 5 million what Glenn Murray is going for?

Because we are a club on the rise with a fantastic manager who has convinced him that we are a club worth spending the next chapter of his career with??? Nothing to do with the huge wages he's on .Like I have said I hope he turns out to be a superstar ,but I was disappointed with his touch and decision making any Norwich and against WBA maybe he was trying too hard. Until he tired, he never gave the ball away at Norwich. Once he gets used to the pace of the game here, he'll be a revelation.

I am glad he was not a knob head at Luton, like Arnie was. You really are talking nonsense now and the fact you are turning on Arnie for absolutely no reason is bringing your real agenda to the fore and making yourself look silly Maybe I am a little unfair on Arnie as he played well on Saturday and for 1/2 a season last year and scored 10 goals last year,I am on about attitude on the pitch we will miss his work rate .

I didn't say he wasn't fit but practically every foreign superstar that has come to play on these shores has needed some time having been taken by surprise at the sheet pace of the games in this country.

How are we under valuing our players when alls we've done is turn down 2 bids? Why are we going to get £5 million for him then? Glenn Murray is a proven goal scorer so is perhaps more valuable to clubs that want him.

I want him to turn into the greatest player we have, but I have a horrible feeling he is not what we need and he will get frustrated by the slow build up,I hope i am wrong but I would of rather spent the money on a midfield player.

This Walters situation has dragged on far too long not to be a tedious pile of snoredom. If he goes he goes. That's football. And that's that.

One proven at this level, one still to prove himself in this league and if he does which I hope so he will be off like a shot when bigger clubs come sniffing.Josulf 5million, SJW a extra one year at 3 million. No offence but shaqiri has proved his ability at a far higher level than Jon Walters could ever dream of. In all fairness the only league Shaqiri has ever proven himself in is the Swiss Super League. People might not want to hear it, but if Shaqiri had proven himself at Bayern Munich or Inter Milan he wouldn't be at Stoke now. He's here because his career had come to a stand still since he left FC Basel and hopefully we are the club that can help him to rediscover his potential again.
