.......and likewise away from the football field the River Mersey is having to be dredged ever more deeply to accommodate larger vessels such as the cruise liners and other ships coming to the city .
Dredging deeper , dredging cheaper seems to be the common theme here . I'm not sure if Ballotelli , Ings , Lambert or Lallana are going to keep Buck Rogers in a job if the season starts poorly , but he's ideally located if he fancies a Carribean Cruise .

Does Brendan Rodgers think he's entered a competition called "How do you not replace a world class striker"?

One of my Scouse informants has rang me from the 'Darkside' to say that Buck Rogers is having a meeting on Wednesday with the owners to discuss this seasons fortunes....
Around him will be several spent cartridges and a couple of expensive Bren guns that have consistently failed to hit their intended target .
Buck has plans to blame his weapons and the sale of Hanibal Lecter , but the owners maybe bringing along their own .....a dagger.
They are currently thinking of alternatives .....
If the mood gets too stroppy on Bucks part , then their is likely to be a short sharp boot to the nadgers , followed by a dagger to the chest .
He could be gone by Thursday.

Is there anybody out there that can explain Ings to me?
So far most people seem to be in the same boat, "what's the fuss?".

Would an incoming manager if there is to be one want Ings? If rogers goesand klopp comes in you would suspect he wouod be thinking of an international striker.

I'd go to Sociadad for a couple of years if I was him. He's still only 21 and it could be a good experience in a footballing sense.

I can hear BR talking in that meeting now. 'I think our club showed a lot of character this season'. And John Henry just staring at him, wondering what the hell is this guy talking about. I just don't see BR surviving that meeting. Hopefully we provided the final nail in his coffin.

Llalana, Lambert, Balotelli, Ings.
Wouldn't swop any of that for Diouff. Or even Super Jon come to think about it.

That's just not in the mindset of a modern day british footballer, that would mean having to learn a language and adapt to a different culture, but I agree it'd increase his development 10 fold

It does underline, however, that the name Liverpool stil draws players in. After a bad season, they still finished top 7, which is higher than us. Trouble is, they didn't win the league with one of the best strikers in the world, so they are still unlikely to do anything with the best striker in Burnley.
I guess Hughes will be looking at cheaper and possibly more effective options to improve his strike force; Ings and Austin were probably not even considered.

Liverpool will have a load of players who think they are better than they are, that goes for their manager too.I don't mind that, because Brenda will have run out of money when it comes to the time he spots a very good player.

Liverpool will no doubt be spending well over the odds on wages for Ings and Milner.
Everyone knows they're desperate.

I really like Milner but where does he fit into that Liverpool side?
Him and Henderson are hardly inspiring are they? If he was replacing Henderson I'd understand it more (I prefer Milner) because they're box to box midfielders who get around the pitch. Unless they're going to play him on the wing? Which imo is a waste of a good player and the chance of an actual winger playing.

I dunna get it with ings, meanwhile I think Milner would be a good signing for most clubs, really like him! Proper 110%er.
